My birthday Clematis

My birthday Clematis has lived it life and it is on its last legs. It popped up Dec. 21st, my birthday was the 22. This summer bloomer had sent just one flower out just for me. A birthday present from God. It stayed out there with 14 degrees, 16 degrees, 18 degrees mornings, morning after morning. We had one day since my birthday it did not get above 32 degrees all day long. That clematis stayed beautiful , true white!!! It never froze!! For 23 days it stayed true white in the worst cold Florida has seen since they have been keeping records!!

A true gift from God!!!!!

Thank-you God!!!!!!

Thanks for coming to read my blog.

Love you all lots, Bambi, Happy, & Fern

  6. THEY say this hard freeze is over for now!! Thank God!! THEY say we are going to warm up to 70 degrees on Saturday. Of course it will be raining too and rain means after rain comes cold. THEY don't know what is going to happen than. We have set a record for how many hard freeze nights in a row that we had. 13 hard freeze nights in a row!! That had not happened since 1966 and it was a tie. WE here at our house have had 14 nights in a row of hard freeze nights. Poor Tom is sick to death of working in what has been just awful cold shop
handling cold metal. He has a heater even two but it does not heat up that metal.

  7. Hi Fern thanks for the response on your blog.
I hope your spy issues are over. I have been in total shock at all the freezing weather you have had. Horrible. Poor Tom. I hope this is it for you all. Madi says thank you for the sweet pet.

  8. It WAS a gift. It really was. Maybe now that it is fading, you can press it. It would be something to treasure. This gift from God. The little white flower that, with HIS help, made it through the weather that should have killed it. A lesson for us here.
