Taking some time off

Camellias

The poor Camellias have not been having a good year this year. The bush itself takes the cold even snow but it will not bloom if the temps are below 32 degrees. So far this winter we have had below 32 degrees or lower night after night. The Camellias are suffering. For the last 3 nights we here on our land have had it better than the rest of Tallahassee. B/c it has not been down below 32 degrees HERE.... Other places in town have been down to 28 to 30 degrees but we have stayed above 32 degrees!!!!!!! And look what has happened!!! We have two Camellias blooming!!!!!! YAY YAY YAY
Praise the Lord!!!!! It is suppose to get down to 30 tonight but it will probably not here so maybe we will have another bloom or two tomorrow!!!

I can't wait for spring!!! The picture below was taken in 87. We had tomatoes and peppers enough for a restaurant and all the people I walked with each morning and us too!!!!!

Friends my Camellia bushes don't look like that this year. It has been so cold they can't bloom.
The weather man says we are going to have more seasonal weather for a time now so hopefully they will bloom!!

Feeling better

Hey dear friends, I am feeling a little better. Thank-you for your prayers and well wishes. I am going to lose my big toe nail for sure tho. I am back walking with my sweet Bambi 3 or 4 times a day.

IT IS COLD IN TALLAHASSEE !!!!!!!!!!! We are not, thank God, as cold as a lot of the rest of the US but cold for us!!!!!!

Since moving to Mozilla Firefox I have been able to load my friends blogs and get the comment box to come up. If you have commented on my blog and I have not responded I am truly sorry.
I really try hard to get very comment answered!!!

It is really hard on the plants when it is so cold. Last year at this time I had camellia pictures to show you, but it has not been a good year for them this year. They take the cold real well but will not bloom if it is freezing. So I have not had a lot of blooms this year. I miss the blooms!!

Sunday AM I went boom

Sunday morning at 4 AM I got up to go pee and when I was walking back to bed I felt dizzy.
I didn't make it back to bed!! I passed out before getting there.

Now before you all start telling me to go to the doctor, remember we don't have any insurance and we have very little $$ !!!!!! I am still on dial up!!

Years ago we went to lots of doctors trying to find out why I get dizzy and at times pass out!!
I have done it most all my life. When Tom was hot to find out why, I would pass out on him he spent over 3, 000.00$ trying . The only thing that came up in all those tests was that I needed to have a bunch of colon removed. That I should have been larger- taller and had way too much colon, it was in knots. Of course we didn't have the money for that surgery nothing was done with the doctors. Surgery would have been 50,000$$ Today it would be a lot more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The doctors could not say for sure but thought that the messed up colon was why I would pass out.

Anyway I almost tore off my big toe's nail !! I am sore !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday I didn't walk Bambi at all. Monday I did get my boot on and I walked a little with her. Today I got a little further with her so I am starting to heal. I am sore tho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I could use your prays tho!!!

Goods from the garden even in the Winter

Hi friends, We go to the farmers market ( well Tom gos) (sometimes I go too) every week and sometimes two times a week!! We or he,,, brings home the best stuff!! Even in the winter we here in Florida produce vegetables year around. In the Tallahassee area people that have green houses and then further south just right out in the field.
What is your favorite dish for super?? Ours is by far a stir fry with lots of greens and peppers hot and sweet, and root vegetables!!!! Of course we love squash too!! We love vegetables and I make a home made soup every week of the year!! Never miss a week!! I love a small bowl of soup just before bed at night, it puts me in the mood for sleep.

Cats and Dogs

Hi there friends, I'll bet some of my new followers have not seen Happy cat. Happy doesn't get a lot of air time but she is always there!! She sleeps a lot but if I leave the computer desk and go to the kitchen she does too!! Were ever I am she is close by. In good weather she will walk part of the way with us!!! When we take our walks in the AM. In the cold weather she comes out and sits on the patio and wait for us. When I go the the bathroom she gos too, and sits to keep me company. No matter what I am doing in there she will be there!! It seems it is her job to take care of me and she does her job very well!!!
