Bambi--How I love this old girl

Hi Friends in Blog-land.......
Bambi has been a bad girl lately. I told her that I was going to tell you all out there if she didn't quit stealing the cat food... Dear folks Bambi is putting on some pounds and her Mom is trying to put her on a diet. She needs to lose at least 3 lbs but 5 lbs. would be nice. So she is not getting as much food as she wants!!!!! So when she gets a chance she steals Happy's dry food!!
Her Lymphoma's are getting bigger.............................
I have to pick up the cat food now every night and when 3 or 4 in the morning Happy gets hungry she wakes me or her Dad up. Not fun!!
I have to really be careful to see that Bambi doesn't get any cat food b/c she is really allergic to it big time!!

Another Wordy Wednesday

Happy
Camellias
We are going to have a much bigger garden this year then last year!! When we work in the garden Happy is always present. We grow cat nip for her and she has to supervise!!
We are going to have more in the ground this year and that will be interesting!! We have so many critters that call our 3 acres home. It will be fun trying to keep them from eating what we grow that they can get to. We are still going to have as much in pots and up high as we can but not everything is suitable for container gardening.
I do hope you all will Google coconut oil and find out all the wonderful things it does for us!! That is the best I can do,, you can't make him drink!!!!

Cooconut Oil

Hey Friends, I really don't want to sound like a broken record, but I think Bambi getting to 13 and a half in 10 day is no accident. We have worked at keeping her.
She gets nothing that is going to be hard on her kidney's, like raw hide bones or anything made from raw hide. She does not get milk bones. What does she get, you ask??? One thing she gets everyday is Coconut Oil. The benefits of coconut oil is
Reduces risk of CANCER & other degenerative conditions.
Relieves arthritis.
Promotes normal thyroid function.
Promotes weight loss.
Balances Metabolism.
Prevents & treats Yeast & fungal infection.
Helps prevent & control diabetes.
and Coconut oil is in our diets everyday too,
We cook with it and we take the pills everyday as does Bambi. Where do you get it?? We get ours from the Vitamin Shop but if you don't have one in your neighborhood you can get it on line or at your health foods store. I learned about Coconut Oil from the Create channel on TV about 3 years ago. We have seen a big difference in Bambi and us!!!! It is not cheap. If it helps reduces your and your dog's risk of getting cancer it is worth the price!!!

I tried to load pictures today and they would not load. I have spent hours on it, NO PICTURES!! Picture another day!!!
Any questions??
I really care about the health of our DOGS!!!

Oregano for pets

My last post was about Oil of Oregano and how much it has helped me and everybody that I have told about it that has used it everyday!! My own son needs it so badly but he will not keep a every day routine, neither will his wife so they can't come into my house!! If I let it, it makes me mad!!
Now I have never tried it on any of my animals in the concentrated oil. What I do is grow a lot of oregano and in all Bambi's cooked food goes many stems with lots of oregano leaves on them. When the greens beans are dome I take out the stems and when she eats her dinner the oregano leaves in her green beans and her buckwheat and her lean ground beef. She gets a lot of the leaves of oregano everyday!!! I do know that the oregano leaf itself will do the same job as the oil will, you just have to eat a lot of the leaves!! So for you that have dogs with allergy you can try either, the oil or the leaves. The leaves has surely not hurt Bambi . It has helped her a lot. She was almost dead with kennel cough when she came home with me 13 years ago!!!
I love all the dogs out there and I love all the good pet owners in blog land and I do hope that I have helped in some way. If you have any questions please ask me anything!!! I want to help any of you who suffer.

The picture above is one I took off the internet. It reminded me of Remington and Oz.

A very Serious Post today

This is Tally Town right now today!! Things are so ready to grow, to bloom and what does that cause?? ALLERGIES !! YES, allergies !!! It is allergy season here!!! What do you do for them??? If you suffer every year, I have your answer.
Oregano is your answer!! We should all be eating lots of Oregano but we can not eat enough to get rid of those allergies. So what do we do? We go to the Vitamin Shop or your favorite health foods store and you buy Oil of Oregano Leaf. Brand name Nature's Answer........ The best stuff is just under 30$$. The bottle has a dropper in the top of the bottle. You shake the bottle and drop 4 drops in a small amount of water and drink.
If you have lots of allergies you take those 4 drops 2 or 3 times a day . If you feel better after the first 4 drops then try just using just once a day. But you have to use once a day every day!!
Oregano has changed my life completely!!!! I hope if you need it it will help you as much as it has me!!!
Love coming your way!!!

Coon living in our yard

Hi Friends, We see a lot of critters around the house all the time!! Day and night
The other night we had a possum that came up the ramp to come in the back door. Ramp, yes ramp at the back door. Joker did not do stairs and to get into this house he had to go up or down three stairs. So Tom built him a ramp!! Tom is such a good guy!! I didn't get a picture of the possum wanting to come in. It did make me think about getting a picture next time tho!! So last night I got these two pictures.
This is Johnny. He is a male coon that was born to Addy. She had two babies. A girl Issy and her brother Johnny. Addy has kept her babies with her until about 2 weeks ago. It is time to mate now, so Johnny had to go. The coons run off all the males so there will not be inter breeding. Well Johnny doesn't want to go!!!
So now he is living in the yard. Bambi is real good about the wild animals, but she does not want them in her yard. She has been getting a lot of extra exercise
running around smiling were Johnny has been and were he is sleeping, b/c during this weather they sleep all day or at least most of the day. Hopefully Johnny will take off and find his own place!!
I have a coon living in our plum tree!!!
How about that??

PS I have been having lots of trouble trying to get to you guys!!

The garden has been started

Hi there friends, we have started our new garden!! We have tons of strawberry blooms and few have already been eaten! I had a picture on one of my passed posts.
The pic above is Swiss Chard.. Bambi loves it cooked in her buckwheat along with celery and fresh herbs. If you don't have this in your diet you really should.
Greens are the medicine that keeps away cancer. We should all be eating greens at least 4 times a week. Around here we eat greens everyday of the week, I am a cancer survivor. My Dad died of cancer and Toms Mom died of cancer.
This is just one of our red cabbages. Isn't she beautiful!!! We have spinach, kale,
bok choy, and water cress all coming up. We have tomatoes, egg plant, hot and sweet peppers coming up . Reddish, broccoli, squash planted but not up yet and other things I have missed telling you about, but if you follow me you will see them later.
Thank you all for helping us celebrate Bambi's and mine anniversary!! Our 13 th!!
Love coming your way!!

Bambi's Gotcha Day

Thirteen years ago I brought a very sick (about 5 months old) puppy home from the local shelter. She had been adopted out 3 times before me. I was her 4th chance. She was real sick with kennel cough!!! The vet said she would have been died in a couple of days if I had not come along. Of course she went straight to the vets before she came home to her forever home!!
She has been the most wonderful dog anyone could ever want!!
I love her so much but then I am like that you know!!

Hope you guys have a great week-end!!

Wordy Wednesday

Hi Friends, I tried to get to some of you today and I kept getting the error page! Yesterday I made a big pot of soup. I usually do every Monday. Tuesday is cook for Bambi day. Today I cooked her buckwheat with herbs and Swiss Chard. I love this time of year b/c I have home grown herbs and vegetables to put in her buckwheat. Now for those of you who do not know I cook all of Bambi's food and buckwheat is a thing she loves and it is not wheat even tho it 's name is buckwheat it is not gluten. Oregano is in her food year- a- round. Oregano is very good for allergies!!!!!! If you have any you should be eating lots of oregano.
It did rain and a lot of the Japanese Magnolia blooms fell off but not all. Some are still on the tree b/c it didn't rain long or hard! The picture first on this blog is of oregano, I have 6 of those beautiful plants and they winter the cold really well if you keep them from freezing.
I also cooked sweet potatoes and green beans for her and not all together, separate.
When I cook anything this is where Bambi is. She is the sweetest dog!!!! Please make your next dog a rescue dog. They know what you did for them!!
