Hay Friends, we have been growing our Christmas Tree and this year it is ready for decorating.
This little tree was growing in the front yard, down by the new 6 lane highway about 6 years ago. It was only 5 inches tall. Tom dug it up and put it in a pot. He has up potted it many times.
And this year is it's year to be decorated. We will take a picture of it when it gets the lights on it. I think it is so neat to have grown our own tree.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving my friends!!!!!
Love to you all, Happy, Bambi and their Mom
I did not tell you how tall the tree is did I?
ReplyDeleteThe tree is taller than I am. I am 5 ft 2 inches tall.
The computer is not happy!! It has been real SLOW and just not printing the pictures if it even makes it to your blog. It makes me sad when it does not work......
Fern
How industrious Tom is to dig up the little tree and rais it :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe your computer is already on vacation for Thanksgiving. I hope you have a good one too. Don't eat too much pie :)
What a cute little tree. I am sure it will be happy to be part of your Christmas celebration.

HI again! My computer did something weird and I'm starting all over...I was wondering if your keeping your tree in the pot? My cousins use to have a live tree every year! That is nice.
ReplyDeleteMany Blessings to you and Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Fern, What a sweet little tree!! I have picked out one up the road that is about 2 foot high that I want to decorate with little red balls but I'm not going to cut it, just leave it there so that maybe next year it will be 3 foot high!
ReplyDeleteWe have about 25 acres planted in pines on our farm and I usually put up a small feather tree. Our house is so cold in the wintertime that we don't keep all of it opened up and just live out of three rooms plus the bathroom - not a lot of room for a big tree and I miss that, but maybe when we build our new house, I'll be able to have one.
Have a Happy Halloween.
Hugs to all,
Lynn
How pretty your tree is, Fern! We can't wait to see it decorated!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots

Greetings Fern and gang, Love the live tree you will use for Christmas! We've always had at least one fir tree in our yard and I love having trees period-no matter what type. I've missed visiting but have been hand quilting around the clock, trying to beat this little one-before she is born. Blessings to you this Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving. I'm on my daughter's notebook for a few minutes, so I thought I would drop by. Take care and hug all your animals for me or tell them hello from Teddy, Louie and Me. loveya! tammy
What a wonderful tree! And it has such a neat story. Loved and tended year by year. Very special.
ReplyDeleteEven if it went undecorated, it would be the best Christmas tree ever!
Happy Thanksgiving!
