Bambi came to us from the animal shelter. She was a very sick puppy. I took her to the vets the very next day. He said she was a day or two from dying from kennel cough. She came with the name Brandy. The people at the kennel called her that. My Tom and I are non drinkers.
Never drink ever. So I wanted her to be a non drinker too. Bambi sounded very much like Brandy. So Bambi it was! She never acted like she noticed. She as always answered to her name. That is how Bambi got her name.
Thanks for coming. You are always welcome. Hugs Bambi and Fern

Zack and Buddy came from the shelter too.
ReplyDeleteWe kept Zack's name and Buddy had no name until we adopted him.
Bambi is a lovely name and one of my all-time favorite movies.

Bambi is a sweet name - we like to hear how dogs get their names.

Hey Fern,
ReplyDeleteMy geese are domestic; they were given to me when they were about six weeks old last May by some guys I know. They can't fly much more than a foot off the ground - if that. Completely domestic. They aren't as friendly as they used to be but I enjoy having them around. Altough they about killed one of my favorite roosters :(
Hi Phyllis,
ReplyDeleteI had a duck once. I got her when she was 5 weeks old. So cute. When she got older she was a mess to keep. I had to wash down the front porch twice a day. She was a sweet duck and I loved her to death.
Hugs, Fern
