My sweet Bambi!! She has gotten where she doesn't like her picture taken any more!! I don't know why??? Just all of a sudden............
My Amaryllis.... I have more photos of them I will show you another day.
Our pair tree!! It is no longer in bloom. I tried to load it two times before to show you all but it wouldn't load. Today it would load!!!!
We have had the last of our strawberries!!! We ate strawberries until we were blue in the face but have so enjoyed them so much this year!!! They have been so very sweet!!! We never needed any sweetener !!!
I have been having trouble with blogger again......

Some Monday Memories and the Garden

Hey Friends out there in Blogville. The picture of Bruce and I was taken a very long time ago!!! I looked young in the picture didn't I ?????
The picture of us was taken in 1981!!! I was 40 years old in that photo. How old do you think I looked in the photo???
This is a photo of our Cucumbers!!! I love cucumbers and we eat a lot of them. They use to be cheap but now they are expensive!! So we are growing them!!!
Here is our early tomato. It is a triplet tomato isn't it. No matter it is going to be on the dinner table probably before May!!!!! I am so proud!!!
I have other pictures to show you but they will come another day.

We worked hard on the front garden yesterday. It was starting to get dark when we finished!!! Tom is a wonderful farmer!!!!! He is a wonderful man.

Hi Blog Friends!! Are you having trouble with blogging?? Are you having trouble with getting the comment frame to come up?? I am going through another time when blogger is not playing nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't like these times at all........ The quilt above was one I saw at Paducah Kentucky in 99. I really loved it a lot!!!!
Bambi thinks she hears a mole under-ground! She will sometimes get one and if she gets her mouth on one it is dead!!!
This is the LOVE ROSE. That is it's name!!! It was my favorite of all my roses!!
It Is Clematis time of year again!! Aren't they pretty!!

We will be working on the garden this week-end!! Tom has taken the camera in to work this week . I hope it comes home this week-end so I can get some pictures!!!

Flowers Today

Hey Blogville Friends, As you can see my Amaryllis are blooming. I look forward every year to when they bloom!! I love there big beautiful flower heads..... A critter chewed on one before it was even ready to bloom, but that is life when you live with so many critters. It happens every year, a critter will test one out to see if he likes it. Thank Goodness they don't.
There is my jalapeno's that are blooming like mad.. We are already eating jalapeno's about every other day now!! We have a pepper big enough to join us for dinner almost everyday already!! People we have the best dinners you would every eat. Between the farmers market and our garden we are eating like kings!!
I wish you all were eating as healthy as we were.

The lady in this picture is my Grand-daughter!!! The man with her is her boyfriend Deven May. They are both Las Vegas entertainers!!! She is very happy and that is what is important.
This is my Mother and me at work in the first beach concession we owned. I spent 7 days a week on the beach for 5 years. Working beach concessions. When I was young we NEVER took a vacation......

Angel Quilt

Hi Friends,
I love love love animals- dogs best but I do also love quilts!! I use to make and design quilts. I use to sew everyday!!!

The quilt above I think is the most beautiful one I have ever seen!!! I had the good fortune to be able to watch this quilt being made. I belonged to the towns quilt club. The lady who made this beauty had just lost her husband to death. She wanted something hard to make to take her mind off her loss. This was a cross stitch pattern..... So she made each piece 1 inch by 1 inch, the piece ending up a half inch by half inch. She worked on it night and day. Each month she brought it to the club meetings to show and tell. I even went over to her house and watched her work on it.
It took her over a year ( and that was fast ) to finish this beautiful quilt!!
She gave it to her G-son!!!

Wordy Wednesday

Sweet Bambi!!! Have you all noticed that when I talk about Bambi I say SWEET !!!! She IS the sweetest dog you would ever meet!! She has protected me once but once was all she ever needed to protect me!!!!!!
This is just some of our spinach. We have a hole LOT more ready to go in the garden this coming weekend!!!!
We still have lots of strawberries to go in the garden as some as they stop giving us strawberries and start just growing and multiplying........
The tomatoes are coming along nicely. We have 5 tomatoes set!!! We will probably have our first fresh tomatoes for the dinner table in about 2 and a half weeks !!!! I can't wait!! The cucumbers are already in the garden and one has sent out feelers to climb up the little fence Tom put up for them to climb on. This coming week-end will be a busy one getting the front garden starting to be planted.
I love our organic things from the garden!!
I love how I feel eating healthy and Tom and I have been eating healthy for almost 6 years now!!!!

Monday's Memories

Hi Friends in Blogville!!! Hope you are feeling good today!! This is our Happy.
She is a memories cat and a now cat.
Then,, here is Friend!!! he was a big cat that loved to go walking with us every morning. He lived with us for about 7 years before he died of a heart attack.
I have told the story of how Happy came to live with us but I have Mayzie and Maggie Mae and the 3 Doxies and I don't think Frankie knows Happy's story either so I am going to tell it again.There are a few others that don't know too. If you know it please
forgive me for repeating myself!!!!
Happy just walked up to the front of the house on January first 1998. Tom was working in the front yard and she just walked up to him and said Hi I want to live with you. Tom came in the house and said come outside and see what is out here. I went out and met this sweet kitty. She has been with us every since. We took her to the vets and found out she had been spayed and that she was 5 to 7 years old. He said she had had many litters of kittens before she had been spayed and that is why he judged her age as 5 to 7 year old. We were lucky to get a spayed kitty.
That is Happy's story and she was so happy when she first came we called her Happy!! So that makes her 18 to 20 years old if the vet is right!!!!!

Happy Week-end Friends

Hi Friends, picture of sweet Bambi!!!
Last year's garden--- this year's is doing real good so far. We have the tomatoes planted and we have 3 tomatoes that have set fruit!!

Here is Happy!!! She looks really good for an old girl. She is somewhere around 18 to 20 years old !!!!!! Cats usually do not show their age you know?? When she walks you can see her age. She has a lot of arthritis..

I surely hope you have a wonderful week-end. It is going to be beautiful around here.. It is suppose to get to 90 degrees both days of the week-end!!! YAY YAY !!!!!

Mondays Memories

Hey Friends in Blogville. The picture above is me when I was 5 years old with my dog Tippie. We got her when I was 3 years old. She is why I say that I am part dog!! She was my sister. (I am an only child.)

This is my Mother who is now gone over the Rainbow Bridge and the dog with her is my love forever Bruce!!! Of course Bruce has gone over as well. I had cancer and went to the hospital for a hysterectomy. I came home and in 5 days my then husband brought home this German Shepherd puppy that was 7 weeks old!! I cared for him like he was a baby. He was house broken in just 3 days. He never tore anything up. We were together 24/7 for 3 weeks and when I went back to work he went with me.

This is Tiger. He was Tom's cat when Tom and I got together. Tiger loved dogs better then cats. So he loved Bruce from first sight. It was a good union........
