Brain Freeze

Hi, my dear friends in blog land. I applaud all you bloggers who blog everyday!!!! I really don't know how you do that??? When going to my blog this AM and seeing there were no new comments I knew that I had to blog if I was going to hear from anyone!!! Please tell me how to blog everyday!! Where do the ideas come from?? I have one very big disadvantage. I have a very boring life in relation to your life. That boring life is not by choice!!
Really I would love to hear how you do think of things that are interesting to your blog friends.
I get a friend here in blog land and for a little while they come but then they lose interest and don't come anymore............. How do you keep their interest ????????????????????????

Love coming your way, Bambi & Fern

  1. I blog because I have to divert my attention from a negative to a positive with my disease. I blog because I'm a chatty gal. I blog because sometimes my husband finds it easier to read than hear a thing and it makes me happy he still wants to know my every "thing". I blog to show off my critters. I blog because I can. What I've learned from blogging: I dont' care how does or does not read. It's for me. I don't care if it's just a picture or a post. Interest is subjective therefore you can only post to please you first then if followers are important, maybe one or two will like what you post.

There are some who tried to silence my words not long ago. I shut down my old blog which I was quite pleased with. I tried many times to come back online. Then one day, it hit me. Sawed off if you don't like my blog, it's not for you. It's for me. You have to blog for you because it pleases you. I will follow you no matter what just because I like people from all walks, not just my walk. I think I learn more from being curious than I ever did from being safe. I luvs you!!

But I LOVE to blog. Everything the pets do I blog about it. Sometimes I think that it is boring for everyone but then I find out it really wasn't that bad!!! It's fun to follow other people's blogs. So blog about anything at all.:) So just blog away and have fun too!

  3. Hi Fern, I just use my imagination...especially with Mistaya. Telling a story through her eyes is easy cause sometimes she is so funny. It is like looking at the world thru a camera lens..you see so much more detail in the world. It is just like that with Mistaya...see the world thru her eyes and the ideas are endless! Just have fun with it! Hugs, Mistaya's M.O.M. Gail

  5. We haven't been very good about blogging lately but sometimes it just isn't in the works. We enjoy visiting your blog all the time too. We would love to see some of your quilt work. Mom wishes she had the time and the know-how to make a beautiful quilt.

  6. Hi Fern....I've been an amateur writer most of my life. Started with pen pals as a child. I love words. Sometimes my hubby will ask where in the world thus and so comes from.....I just say I don't know!!! I just look a a picture of Madi or of other things and words pop in my head. Blog about what you know...quilting, gardening or just write about what is in your heart. Also I get some ideas from whimsical calendars I found on line. I don't have the site address convenient but I'll sign of now and look for it. I'll be back.

  8. Hi, Fern. I started blogging because Sage has so many stories to tell growing up. It's not anything I did prior to retirement, but I'm finding it fun. I've just taken every day occurrences and woven a story around it. So far, so good.....

  11. We find that it is easier to blog now that there are two of us and not just me. We also blog about food a lot because it seems that mom always remembers to grab the camera when she is cooking or baking. We've never blogged every day. We're not that fascinating! hehehe

    Love ya lots

  13. If Blog Mom was home and didn't work we might blog every day, or almost every day. As it is, sometimes we have a hard time visting all our friends every day. So if we miss a post or miss commenting on one, it's not for lack of interest. It's for lack of time. There always seems to be something animal related to blog about. Subject matter isn't our problem. If we're not doing anything interesting, someone on the Internet has something to say worth discussing. When we have time and do more blogging, like if Blog Mom is home on vacation or something, we just look at every little thing that happens as a potential blog post. Sometimes that works out well, sometimes less well but you have to throw the stuff out there to see what sticks - or something like that.

  15. Wow, who do you know who blogs every day? I certainly don't... but I do take a lot of photos and that provides a lot of material. I have started taking a photo a day (a 365 project) and so I have at least one post a week just from my weeks pictures.

  16. Hi Fern, Sometimes I blog every day - if I have something interesting or I have time on my hands. And times when I'm extremely busy, like now, I catch it when I can. I love your blog and hearing about your life. One day I hope to meet you in person.

  17. Your blog is always interesting to us. If you can't always think of something to write, a photo, poem, prayer or something you saw ,or experienced might help you.
Do you visit other blogs and leave comments? Find ones you really enjoy . We care a cat family so we visit lots cat blogs. We know you visit Ginger Jasper too. He is a sweet lovely Kitty with a warm, genuine family. Visit Eric and Flynn. They are two ginger kitty brothers who, with their wonderful parents live on a beautiful farm and share their adventures.
You need to leave comments so people can get to know you and will want to visit you. But mostly blog for the pleasure it gives you. People get busy, they may forget to visit bit you will have the joy of your creation.

  18. Hi Fern! Beth here -- I have it easy....have you met Remington? He makes blogging very easy for me because he is always doing something. What's new in your world? Hope you are having fun! Keep smiling!

  19. Hi Fern - I love your blog and don't feel that you have to blog every day. I blog when I have time and right now I'm trying to finish a quilt for my sister-in-law's birthday at the end of the month - so that's where my spare time is going. I like to include a photo in my blogs, but my computer is sometimes soooo slow that I can only post one or two - even though I have upgraded from dial-up - go figure!!! Anyway, there are a lot of people out here who follow you and enjoy keeping in touch, but sometimes life just gets too busy and we may fade away for a little while, but we're not gone. :o)
