Look at this face. This beautiful dog is becoming a full blown predator!!!!!!!!!!! She has been here 7 months and 21 days now and in that time she has killed rabbits, moles, raccoons and this morning her first bird---is nothing safe??????????
We have had over 5 inches of rain with our storm. For some people that live closer to the coast it has been very bad for them. Storm surge, power outage, trees falling, water in their homes, I feel so sorry for them. For us it has been just rain, some branches down and bugs galore, all kinds I go out suited up so no skin is showing but my face, not my hair, or ears or hands!!! Still I am bit 6 or 7 times. I have got to get something to cover my face too!!!! Mosquitoes can kill now a days!!!
Love coming your way, Zoie & Fern
Mosquitoes can definitely kill or at least irritate the bejeebees out of you ;) You should be able to get a good repellent at the chemist? We don't leave home without it in summer. Hugs xReplyDelete
P.S. Zoie's a hunting dog alright!
Mosquitoes do actually make you sick and many have died!!! They carry diseases that kill horses and people and know after the storm and so much rain they are so thick you can see them in the air!!Delete
How we wish we could get some decent rain lately! We have a lot of mosquitoes here and they are mean and nasty!ReplyDelete
You're right...that's a mighty sweet face. She is a hunter down to the bone.ReplyDelete
She needs to spice up her other wise boring life with the thrill of the hunt and the catch!!! Darn!!!Delete
She is a true hunter it sounds, haylie is a hunter, we have just learned to hope little critters dont come in our yard :)ReplyDelete
I am beginning to see less and less critters that is for sure!Delete
So Mosquitoes and Zoie have a LOT IN COMMON. RIGHT??ReplyDelete
You think funny!!! Right---spot-on- but funny!!!!! LOLDelete
What a sweet picture of Zoie! We've thought about you as we watch the rains there.ReplyDelete
Thanks!!!! We are so far from the cost that we just got a little wind and rain and we surely needed that rain. It was all good for us thank the Lord!!!Delete
Hi Fern, well I hope that the other little critters will stay away from Zoie. We've seen newscasts of the weather down your way. Hopefully it stops soon. Bugs and mosquitoes, great...they all seem to like my dad :(ReplyDelete
Today is a beautiful day. I don't have to water the garden and the storm is long gone for us. YAY!!! Loved all that water tho!!Delete
Mosquitoes want to eat me alive too so I know how you feel. I've found some decent non-toxic repellants out there that work...when I remember to put it on.ReplyDelete
Zoie is quite the hunter! But how could you not love that sweet face?
I use to forget to put something on too but since Debby has been here with all the mosquitoes she has brought all you have to do is look out the window and you can SEE them waiting for you to come out!!! I hate to have to put something on to keep them from eating me alive!!!Delete
You are lucky you are so cuteReplyDelete
Benny & Lily
She is so pretty isn't she and she really is sweet to people and cats and other dogs but everybody else look- out!!Delete
Well, she IS a hunting dog. Still, I'm so sorry for the baby racoon and other animals. I won't let my cats out of the house because they kill the bunnies and birds. There are so many mice and voles that I've stopped feeling too bad for them anymore. They poop and pee on everything - gross!!
Hi Phyllis, yes she is a hunter--she was bred for that!! I have had many others that were bred for that too but they were not hunters at all, but I guess it was b/c of their puppy-hood.Delete
Hope your doing OK!!!!
Hi Fern, Oh that face, how can she really be a predator; it is in her genes. She probably feels like she is protecting you. I can't believe you have had her this long-boy do the months fly by. I am extremely allergic to mosquito bites and have found the Cutter brand belt fan works well if you are staying in the same place, otherwise I'll just use repellant. Glad someone has the rain because we don't and could use it.ReplyDelete
Noreen I am trying to only use natural stuff on my skin and some we have found is working pretty good!!! But I still get bit every so often!!Delete
Hey Fern..Hope all is well with you. We've missed our blogging friends. We've had a lot of life changing events going on around our house lately. Just wanted to check in with you and see how you were doing. Hope Happy is still hanging in there.ReplyDelete
Oh keep safe, Fern xox Zoie is quite a handful I think, but yes she has a sweet face !!ReplyDelete
You said it right Carolyn, she is a handful.Delete
She jumps the 6 ft fence. That is how she has gotten out!!!!!
What a beautiful sweet face you have, Zoie! We know you don't mean to kill - it's just what comes naturally to you.ReplyDelete
Love ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
Yes, Sue you are right she can't help herself. I think it will get better with some age on her at least I hope!!!Delete
One thing about the Weims...they love to hunt.ReplyDelete
Bugs = YUCK. :(
Ahhh, Zoe is so cute and innocent looking. She's a hound afterall and just doing her job. We can understand why you don't like it tho.ReplyDelete
And she is so big the critters don't have a chance. She can run faster then they can. Their only hope is to get to a tree and up it before she gets them!!Delete
Aww...such a sweet face, who knew?? She is doing her job just a little too well, bolReplyDelete
You surely said that right!!!!!Delete
She's very adorable on that pictures. I love that beautiful brown face :DReplyDelete
Shock Collars | Human and Puppy Bond
I love that beautiful face too!!! No matter how many she kills!!! Don't like it but~~~~~~~~~~~Delete
She looks awesome in those pictures. I am going to say she is not camera shy either, :-)ReplyDelete
She doesn't seen to mind having her picture taken at all!!Delete
Racoons can be pretty feisty, she must be brave and determined to go after those critters. I would probably cry about the bunnies, though. :-(ReplyDelete
Julia I cry for them all!! I love them all.Delete
