Mondays Memories-- Little Darlin

Monday Memories!! Meet Little Darlin !!! He was a stray that just showed up one day when I was still living at home with my Mother. He was a kitten about 3 month old. Of course I didn't turn him away. He loved corn on the cob!!! He ate only the corn of the corn, not the cob. He would eat a whole ear himself!!! It was one of his favorite things he loved to eat. He had a Sweet tooth!!!
We had a beautiful day today. The sun was out all day long!!! I worked some in the garden today. Hope you had a good day!!
Love you all lots, Bambi & Fern

Ps. I did it backwards again!!! I know better, really I do!!!!

  2. That's so funny that the kitty liked corn. We had a dog that liked it, but have never seen a cat eating it. Glad you had a nice day.

  7. Hi Fern, thats so strange, a cat liking corn on the cob. Spider loves to lick my hands when I have been gardening so I brought him in a bowl of assorted earth, no interest hardly at all.

  8. Hi Fern, these are great pictures. There was once a stripped cat that lived here at the farm named Tigerface. I was just a little girl then and think that was the only cat I ever really played with. As an adult I know nothing about cats, but I'm learning from my friends who have them.

    Have a great day,
    Lynn

  9. Hi Fern,
What a precious picture and memory. I don't think I've ever heard of a cat eating corn on the cob. Fantastic post backwards or forwards.
    Good job,

My girls love corn too! Samantha will eat the whole thing and June would just eat the corn.

  14. Hello Fern,
First of all, thank you for following my blog and for bringing Daisy over to stay with you! I look forward to reading your cat and quilting stories and I especially like this one because I've never met a cat who likes to eat corn on the cob! I've taken care of cats who like to eat cheese, lettuce, yogurt, and dog treats but a cat who eats corn on the cob is a new one! Love the story!

  15. Hi Fern, yes, we had a beautiful day here too...62 degrees. We both enjoyed our slow peaceful walk together this afternoon. Your photos of the cat are so pretty. I can see why you couldn't turn him away when he found your house. Cats just seem to know. Mistaya's M.O.M. Gail
