March 23 2010

Hi blog friends, Yesterday was rainy and cool for a day in Florida in March. We are suppose to have days in the middle 70's and yesterday was 52 degrees!! Today is different, the sun is out and it is warming up. Thank God!!!
The picture is of me and my Grand-daughter when she was about 3 months old!!! My G-daughter lives in Las Vegas. If it were not for the computer I would have no contact with her at all. Thank God for the computer and thank Tom for buying me this old used one!!!
This picture is a of my Whippet that I rescued from Ga. She was in a Greyhound rescue place.
This is a photo of a painting that my Mother painted. My mother was a cat lover!! She feed any and all cats that came her way. Needless to say she had a lot of cats!!!!!!!! There is a organization that will spay and neuter the stray cats that you feed for nothing. She use to have them spay and neuter them for her. I wish I remembered the name of them but I don't right now. You can look it up on Google.
I will try to do better and blog again probably Thursday.
Love you all very much!! I wish I could meet you!!!

  2. Hi Fern,

I always love seeing your family pictures. And your Mother was a very talented artist. That must be where you got your talents from.

    Have a great day,

  3. Hi Fern,

Yes, the power of internet. That's how I communicate with my family in Malaysia.
Looks like we left FL just in time for the rain. BTW, I "waved" at you when we were leaving FL. :)

  5. Hi Fern! Once again, we've been gone too long (but unfortunately, it is the way it has to be.) But this was such a nice post to return to! We LOVE the picture of you with your granddaughter. Your hair is beautiful! And the Sweet Whippet! Our auntie in Panama City Beach has a whippet and soon we'll be spending time with her. We all get along well. And now we see where you got your artistic talent. Your mother's painting is so lovely.

Enjoy the advent of spring. We are so happy it is finally returning to Florida!

  7. Wow, Fern, you look too young in that photo to be a grandmother! Glad to know your weather is turning out nice. Our day today is warmer but very windy, and tomorrow we get snapped back to cold and rainy. Ugh.

    Have a great day!

  8. Hi Fern,

Nice photo, I admire what you get up to over there. Hope you have a great day and I am sure one day you will get to meet some of us bloggers.

I am keeping an eye on a neighbours cat that badly needs clipping as I discoverred when I spoke to her. Hope it's done soon otherwise I may be taking matters into my own hands.

  10. Hey Fern, me again. Sorry I forgot to answer your question. I want to learn to quilt by hand. Now I do have a really bad back.
What do you think? I think by hand would make the quilt more special.

You mom was a very good painter, that picture is so cute. You must have gotten your gentleness for taking care of animals from your mom.

  12. Hello Fern,

Your mum's so talented and that painting is so beautiful. Sweet pic of you and your granddaughter.

Thanks for all you nice comments on our blog. To answer your q......Tiffy is a tiny poodle who will probably be around 3.5 to 4 lbs when fully grown. Coco is now approx 3lb 2oz at four yrs+. Their small size is very handy when I take them out but I also want them healthy.

You have a nice day and yes, small dogs = small everything!
