Poor coons

After the last awful cold blast-- not this one but the Last one, I didn't see Frankie and her 2 girls for a few days.  I kept feeding and every morning the food had been eaten by coons. So I guessed they were alright.
After the awful cold was over Frankie showed back up at feeding time but I haven't see her girls since. I am afraid I have lost them. I know where Frankie is living and it is a nice warm hole in a very large oak in that tree......  I thought the girls were with her but~~~~~~~~~~~  maybe not????
It has been over a week since I have seen them!!
I am hoping they are fine and just not eating with their Mother any more. As spring is coming they go there separate ways!!

This cold blast is worse then the last one!!!!!!  Our high today is 24 degrees!!!!!
I have lived in Florida 72 years and I have never seen a high this LOW!!!!!!!  I don't know what is going to happened tomorrow when they say it will be colder!!!  Hope they are wrong!!!

Love coming your way,  Circle, Allie, Max, and Fern

  4. Hope the girls get back soon. It isn't quite as cold down our way but there is a nip in the air, that's for sure!

  5. This whole winter has been crazy. We have had -21 and that doesn't include the windchill,
With the wind it is like -30 and we don't have cold like this. Hope the girls come back soon

  7. I'm glad Frankie came back. Maybe the girls will too. Sometimes I see little raccoons with their mother but only for awhile then no sign of them. Maybe when they get to a certain age they leave mama and make a home of their own.

I hope your weather warms up, that's colder than we are right now.

  11. Oh dear - I do hope they show up so you don't have to worry about them. Chances are the moved on. Wow, that is cold for Florida - even northern Fla.
