Lynn

Lynn  Lynn   Lynn!!!!!!!!!!   Dear Lord PLEASE help us!!!!!
She called at 6 PM last night..........  She wanted Tom to drive 60 miles one way to help her out of their truck.........  and into their trailer and to fix dinner for them.  Tom said NO.........
Tom hung up and he called the hospital to find out what happened??????  It seems she through a fit and said she was leaving so they let her go.  John her hubby came and got her but he has had 3 strokes and can hardly walk and is really not right since.   So he can not do anything for her. He can NOT get her out of the truck!!!  She has to be able to get out herself and she has to be able to get in that little trailer door HERSELF!!!  Tom has been talking to her about that!!!  He told her she needed to stay there in the hospital as long as she could!!!  Try to get, at least, strong enough to be able to walk!!!
She didn't listen!!!!   She called again at 11 pm we were asleep.  She was still in the truck and cold!!!
Tom would not take her call!!!!  He is so mad  at her!!!  He says I have tried for her all my life!!!  She just wants and wants from me all the time!!!
I don't know what has happened today but my guess is, he has gone up there to help her--- closed his business and gone up there---that is what usually happens!!

I feel sorry for her but-----------------------------

Love coming your way, Fern

  1. I hope that instead of GOING he will call 911 for her area and have THEM do a Wellness Check.. THAT will get things moving in the right direction FAST.

  2. I like Frankie's solution. Excellent idea. That takes hte responsibility off of your hubby's shoulders and puts it right back on Lynn's. HUGS

  4. Fern, you tell Tom to take Frankie's solution. It sounds the very best thing to do. Tom has enough on his plate caring for his own family and home. Good luck Fern. No worries, and love, Carol and Stella and Rory

  8. I understand - we've had a family situation very similar for years. I'm the only one that will answer those calls and it is tough. Is there a social services that you could call to help them out?

  9. Your tom has a big soft heart. I know Tom loves them but Tom needs his limits and boundaries too. I wonder if there is a day nurse that could help them for the things like that. Driving around, walking around, cooking, etc. There used to be people like that who would do that. Like a nurse or just a volunteer who would help out, who lives nearby. There gotta be somebody.

  10. Next time it happens, Frankie's idea of a wellness check is a VERY GOOD IDEA.

  11. Yup, a wellness check is definitely in order. Perhaps a fresh set of eyes will give Lynn a new perspective on the matter and help her to see a way to work things through.

  12. I definitely agree with Frankie on the idea of a wellness check, that would be the best solution. Family or not, people need to learn to help themselves.

  13. I'm with Frankie and everyone else. She will continue to use Tom as long as he lets her. I think having social services involved will be beneficial for all.

  14. I have just caught up with Lynn's (and your) trauma! In the UK we would get the social services to do an emergency assessment. I hope and pray that there is a good outcome, Fern. Caro xox
