Deer Flies

Zoie is having a big big problem with deer flies!!!!!!  They attack her way more then they bother me.  Poor baby---she hates them!!!  She is getting where she doesn't want to go outside in the day time.
She is afraid of them and I don't blame her --- they hurt when they bit you like H------ !!!!!  Poor poor Zoie.  They stay around till cooler weather.  That is till next October or November!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love coming your way,  Zoie & Fern

  1. Hi Fern, I'm not sure what you can do about them so that Zoie won't be bothered by them as much. I don't have a solution, hopefully someone else will. Does Sue know of a solution?

  2. How annoying. I've seen places sell these very sticky paper with some scent flies like and hang them outside where they are. Flies get stuck on the paper and Zoie gets to go out again!

  6. Poor Zoie!

If you look at your pet store there are lots of natural sprays that you can get for her to keep them off. I use one when I go camping.

  8. Hi, Poor Zoie; I wonder if there is something you could get at a feed store, like they put on horses to help repel the flies. Maybe spraying an herb on her.
    Have a great evening.

  13. We spray skin so soft by avon on our dogs...it keeps the misquotes away...maybe will help with the flies. Horse flies (as we call them) are the worst!!!!!
