Some passed dogs that have spent their lives with us.

Hello blog Friends!! Today I will show you some of my dogs that have gone to the Rainbow bridge. I know NOW that if I had feed them better quality food and in all cases would have cooked for them I would have had them longer!!! But I know now, thank the Lord

and it is going to put years in Bambi's life!

Joker and Tiger and me YEARS ago!!!

This pretty girl is Amanda!! Is is a Whippet!! Joker and Amanda were rescued dogs.

The dog that started my obsession!!! BRUCE!!! He was the most special dog of my life and he got the least from me!! I worked everyday 6 days a week and he came to work with me. It was a hard job and very long long days. All he got was a few pottie breaks with me. When we got home he never got a walk as he should have! I had a family to take care of, a dinner to cook and clean up from! Kids to get a bath and into bed not to mention my bath!! It was a very hard life!!

Because I didn't get paid I get no SS nothing now when I need it so badly. No money coming in at all!!

Cats

Here are just a few of the cats that I have belonged to. The one above is Tinny. He lived with us 12 years.

This is Friend above. He made it too about 14 years old. ( I think)

This is Tiger and he made it to 17 and a half. We know b/c he was born in Tom's sister's house.

And our current cat is somewhere around 17 to 19 years old. When Happy show up she never talked. 12 years and 7 months later she talks all the time!!! She has really got a lot to say.

Tiger was a big talker too.

Friend did not talk at first but he ended up talking up a storm.

Tinny was a mystery!!! We really only guessed at his age and he probably had been an outside cat because he didn't spend at lot of time in the house except in winters that were cold. He would get on top of the kitchen cupboards and some time on top of my bookcase. He didn't really spend a lot of time with us. So he never became as much of a talker as so many others did.

I talk a lot to my animals and some of them defiantly talk a lot back!!!

Who else has had trouble with Google today?? I couldn't get on all day!!! So I cooked a lot and listened to Roy Orbison!! Mopped the kitchen too!!

I am going to tell you what I cook for Bambi!! I cook barley, green beans, sweet potato, fresh tomatoes, and herbs from the garden. The barley needs 3 cups of water and the sweet potato cut up in bit size pieces, green beans need another cup and a half of water and sea salt boil 35 minutes if it is pear barley. If it is rolled barley than it is cooked 20 to 25 minutes, or until your sweet potatoes are done. I cook ground beef or sirloin separately and add to the other food.

She eats two times a day. She also has 2 hard boiled eggs and fruit, like bananas, pineapple, or apple. Some time when I have blueberries around she likes some of those. I have to cook for her at least twice a week. What do you think about her diet??

For breakfast I cook oatmeal and on top of that oatmeal I put bananas, pineapple, blueberries(if I have them) walnuts, currents and raisins. That is what I have for breakfast everyday of the week because I love my oatmeal that way!!! It is so good!!! I like it better then bacon and pancakes!!!!

My Rescue Dog Bambi

Hi blog friends!! We are having another HOT day!! It really gets old!!!!!

I have spent the morning trying to load pictures and blogger is being stubborn!! So no pictures today. I wanted to blog about my sweet girl Bambi. Bambi is not sick. In fact for a girl almost 13 years old, she is in very good shape. (Not thanks to any vet tho) Three years ago she started getting little lumps here and there on her body. At first they were small as time went by some of them got bigger. After a year we decided to have surgery on 5 of the bigger ones. The vet said it can from her family tree. By the time she was healing up from the surgery they where coming back!! So that was not the answer!!! Time went by and the lumps kept coming. I started to feel them a 100 times a day!!! I noticed they changed with what she ate. Which said to me that diet was the cause. The vet called the lumps (Know I can't spell worth a darn so it might be spelled wrong) lyfoma. That is not spelled right but that is how is sounds. I put her on a diet with no wheat or corn in everything she eats. She eats nothing that is made for a dog!!! Nothing!!
It has been almost 2 months now that she has been on her diet. Some of the lumps have GONE.. Some are much smaller!!! Her coat is better, her skin is better, she has lost a couple of pounds!!! She loves her new diet. This last thing at the vets was b/c she has some little lumps on her right foot between her toes and when she walks a pretty good bit she limps, they were bothering her!! The vet didn't want to drain them but Tom told him to, so he did. The bandage is to keep her from chewing on her foot. The lumps have NOT come back and I don't think they will!!!
So now if you read the whole thing you know that Bambi is not sick, thank the Lord!!!!!!

Bambi

Isn't she pretty!!!! I love that girl so much!!!!!!! See her bobo on her right foot. She has a bandage on her foot. She went to the vets last Monday and the vet drained some of her little lumps that were in between her toes. They were making her limp when we walked. She gos back to the vets this afternoon late to see how they are doing. I can tell you without the bandage off b/c she is not limping!!! The lumps are not back yet!! YEY For those of you who do not know I am cooking everything she is eating except for her treats that don't have to be cooked. Her treats are bananas, apples, pineapple, pears, peaches, what ever fruit we are eating!

She LOVES her new diet and it is doing her a lot of good!!!

We have had some rain finally!!! Still hot and steamy!! The rain helps tho!!
