4 Months Ago Last Saturday

4 Months ago last Saturday my loving beautiful girl Zoie died from being hit by a truck at around 4 AM.  She had awaken me, asking to go out.  She went out,, jumped the 6 ft fence and went to the 6 lane highway and was run over in a matter of minutes!!! I 'll never know why she did it !!!!  She hadn't left the fence in over 3 months.I had kept her big crate and all her toys-----why???
B/c if I kept them she would come back!!!  I of course knew better!! Parting with then was going to be HARD....... Well Sunday we give them to the lady who found Zoie for me and had helped to pay for some of her food.  Her big crate and all her toys and Bambi's toys went to her and I CRIED!!!
I saw my loving girl dead I know she can't come back so I did it I gave her things away and I am still crying!!!

That last picture is now my new reality!!  They do help!!! They make me play and play with them---they help!!!!
Love coming your way, Circle, Allie, Max & Fern

  4. It's very hard giving away a dog's things after its gone. I have a small box where I keep Rufus and Jordan's last leash, collar and tag. I think Zoie's crate and toys will make some other dog happy so it'll be a good legacy. Big hug coming your way, Fern X

  11. Think of the good memories with Zoie, and think of the pups that will be helped by the donation of her crate. Sending hugs and love.

  12. Hi Fern, It has been awhile since I left you a comment. Glad you have the cats to keep you company; for me I'd definitely need a dog. I hope your eyesight is alright too. Just think the crate and toys will go to someone who needs them.
Have a great week my friend.
    Hugs, Noreen

  15. We remember when that happened to poor Zoie. What a sad and hard time. We are glad these kitties are providing some distraction, entertainment and love but we know you will never stop thinking of Zoie. That's how we are with our past pets.

  16. I remember this sad day. Many tears were shed for Zoie and for you, dear Fern, because we all felt so bad that you thought it was your fault. It wasn't. You gave Zoie so much love, and she was a happy girl. She will never be forgotten. I am so glad the kitties have you. They will get a lot of love.
