Some passed dogs that have spent their lives with us.

Hello blog Friends!! Today I will show you some of my dogs that have gone to the Rainbow bridge. I know NOW that if I had feed them better quality food and in all cases would have cooked for them I would have had them longer!!! But I know now, thank the Lord
and it is going to put years in Bambi's life!
The picture above is Joker an Ibsen Hound the dog that a Greyhound is from.
Joker and Tiger and me YEARS ago!!!

This pretty girl is Amanda!! Is is a Whippet!! Joker and Amanda were rescued dogs.

The dog that started my obsession!!! BRUCE!!! He was the most special dog of my life and he got the least from me!! I worked everyday 6 days a week and he came to work with me. It was a hard job and very long long days. All he got was a few pottie breaks with me. When we got home he never got a walk as he should have! I had a family to take care of, a dinner to cook and clean up from! Kids to get a bath and into bed not to mention my bath!! It was a very hard life!!
Because I didn't get paid I get no SS nothing now when I need it so badly. No money coming in at all!!
I hope you all out there have a good week!!
Love coming your way, Bambi and her mom, Fern

  1. What great pictures and wonderful memories!! I also loved your post on your cats too! Cats were my first love and each of the 3 that we've had in the last 29 years have lived to a very old age--The one we have now is about 9.

I also know what you mean about diet for our dogs being so vital. I became totally convinced of that about 10 years ago when our 5 year old Golden was diagnosed with cancer. It was then that I started cooking for our dogs, and have done that ever since--We've brought in several rescued senior Goldens that beat the odds and lived longer than anyone thought they would, and I know it was because of the diet that they were fed. My husband jokes that the dogs eat better than we do--I think he's right!! :-)

I hope your week is off to a good start!!!

  2. Oh shucks... I made a post and can't remember if i had to type in a security word... oy. Anyway.. I like the bruce the bestest. I'm very partial to shephers/malinois breeds. Your others are cuties too but Bruce steals my heart. I also feed my canines fruit and vegies when I'm eating them. I can't afford cooked for 6 all the time so they get a good quality bought food (tast of the wild-salmon) and eat when I eat. They love canteloupe, melon, peas, green beans and carrots the best. They think their momo is a rabbit! Hugs. Tazzy

  13. LOve the story and the photos, in order to get more money in your life say you have too much (to yourself ) daily. My dad says this and does so well with deals, people pay for him and he just manages so well. I also carry citrine in my purse (it is supposed to bring money in???).

  18. So nice to meet you too. Likewise, we have seen you on many blogs. Those were some very nice dogs from your past. Don't beat yourself up over the quality of food. Mom grew up with mutts as a kid and they all ate grocery store kibble. Some lived to be 18 and others only 5 or 6. You just do the best you can, but at least today there ae so many good options for food.

    Have a great day.
