She killed again

Last night at dark thirty Zoie killed her first squirrel!!!  She has been trying since her first night here, but last nigh she got one!!! Then in about a hour later she and I went out and feed the coons that squirrel and she didn't seem to mind at all!!!!! She doesn't want to eat what she kills.  She just wants to kill it!!!
Have a great week-end dear friends!!  We plan to!!!!
Love coming your way, Zoie & Fern

  1. I thought dogs killed so they could eat their prey! I didn't know they just killed just for the sport of it! Well, I have to remember that animals have a natural instinct to kill even though I don't like to see the remains!

  4. Awww.....I feel bad for the squirrel. I know dogs and cats have a natural hunting instinct, but I don't like to see the results. Yesterday my cat got a robin, and I cried.

  5. Hmmm interesting that she doesn't want to eat it. Apparently she's not hungry - just enjoys the chase and kill. Silly doggie! Meow!

  6. We are lucky that both Mistaya and Maggie pretend to kill their stuffed toys! I couldn't stand to see either one of them kill anything!

  9. Have a great weekend Fern! I was feeding a couple of squirrels several years go! Two of my dachshunds killed them. I felt like it was my fault. If I had not been feeding them they probably would not have been on the porch! I guess dogs will be dogs! Hugs, Karen

    1. Not all dogs like to kill Karen. My Joker never killed any other animal, he wouldn't even fight back when he was attacked by another dog!!!
You have a good week-end too!!
      Thanks for your visit!!!!

  10. This has been a very abundant and successful summer for Miss Zoie. Freedom, Casper & Nikki are very jealous. We hardly ever get anything fun in our backyard.

    1. There are critters in her yard all the time!! I really don't think it is that hard for her at all!!! She starts getting restless and I know soon she will kill again, kind of like a serial killer!!!
      LOL

  11. She wants to kill it and then bring it to you so you praise her for a job well done. :)

  13. Sounds like Zoie is protecting her home from all intruders! Sage chases the squirrels, but probably wouldn't know what to do if she did catch one.
