Gardenias!!! I have hundreds of gardenia bushes in my yard that are blooming!! Sue from Mackintosh Mitch said it right,, when she said,,in the south they grow almost like weeks. They are easy to grow!! They smell wonderful and they are drought tolerant!!! You never have to water them except when they are first getting started!!! When we are out walking the air smells like perfume!!!!
Love coming your way, Zoie and Fern

Wow, we're jealous. They look beautiful and as you've noted, smell wonderful. You're a lucky duck to have so many.

ReplyDeleteOh I love gardenias, but we aren't quite far enough south for them to thrive outdoors...

Hi Fern, sounds like the perfect plant. Enjoy. No worries, and love, Carol (and Stella and Rory)
ReplyDeleteThat is one thing I cant grow :( and I love them so much!! Can I come over and hang out in your garden?! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Fern, I love Gardenia's-would have them all over if I could. Wish they grew like weeds here. Also, do you know if larger crow like birds attack hummers? Two years ago we had Grackles killing all the small birds and I got tired of having dead sparrows all over our lawn so stopped putting out seed. I am afraid to put hummingbird feeders out for fear of the grackles.
ReplyDeleteHave a great night.
