Hi Friends, We have had strawberries out our wing-wang~~~~~~~~ !! Still!!! I am picking 2 times a day and Tom picks once. We have 30 plus berries everyday. We have 220 plants in the grown and a few in pots. They all came from just one plant that we bought in 09. If you like strawberries I suggest you buy a plant!!! It is well worth the money. A very good investment!!!!!!!!!!! I have a lot in my freezer and we are eating some everyday!!! I love them in steel cut oatmeal with bananas and blueberries and walnuts. That is a meal to die for!!! It is so good for you too!!
The bottom photo of Zoie is my favorite photo of her I have! ! I love it so!! You will probably see it a lot of times!!!
Love coming your way, Zoie & Fern

We're getting some really good strawberries at our local produce stand. Yum!
ReplyDeleteHi Fern, it's still way too early up here in the Pacific Northwest for locally grown strawberries so we're a bit envious. We're getting the tasteless stuff from California or Mexico. Gee we thought that Tom was the love of your life, guess he'll have to make room for Zoie :)
ReplyDeleteWow, we didn't know that strawberries were so "fruitful", bwa-ha-ha! I crack myself up!
ReplyDeleteNubbin wiggles,
Oskar
Wow! I'd love to have some of those strawberries too! Great picture of Zoie!

I love strawberries. I like to pick them myself. Does Zoie do that? And that is a very nice picker of Zoie, I like it too.

Howdy Fern, you must be a good gardener. We love strawberries too. We agree, the photo of Zoie is the best. Have a lovely weekend. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteMum loves strawberries too. I can see why you love the picture.. Hugs GJ xx
ReplyDeleteZoie is a beauty! Great pic of her. Love strawberries but still to early for us to plant. Have a great weekend! Hugs, Karen
ReplyDeleteThis makes me want to grow strawberries. I love them. Also, great picture of Zoie - I can see why it's one of your faves.
ReplyDeleteHi Fern. We love strawberries at this house. But they won't be ripe in our area for another month and a half probably. M says the store bought ones just don't have any flavor so she waits for the fresh ones,
ReplyDeleteHi Fern, Oh how I love strawberries-what a lucky lady you are! I would use them in smoothies and freeze lots too; but on oatmeal, oh my-you're making me hungry. Love the photo of Zoie! We will be sitting for our grandpup when we get home, I am looking forward to having her visit.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Noreen
I love that picture of Zoie too, Fern! Enjoy your strawberries!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Mitch
That is a great photo of Zoie. She's beautiful! Hey Fern, I just bought my first strawberry plant and put it in the ground yesterday. I am terrible at growing anything, so if it makes it it will be a miracle. Any tips for me? Have a great weekend my friend!
ReplyDeleteOh my, you have tomotoes and you have strawberries! I love both of them and how I wish I could have home grown tomatoes and strawberries.
ReplyDeleteStrawberry fields forever!!!! Lovely pictures :) xox
ReplyDeleteHow cool! We can't really grow anything but love to read and see pics of those of you who do. :)
ReplyDeleteYum Strawberries!!! They are good in smoothies too!!!! have fun picking!
ReplyDeleteI love strawberries! Yours sound very prolific. I tried growing strawberries once, and the birds ate them, or they ruined them by pecking each one.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about your area, but we NEVER EVER have green leaves all winter & full berries formed in April. Looking forward to a bumper crop this summer {and so's the hubs...he's checking them daily & counting down to crepes}! Zoe is adorable. We have trouble getting good photos of our Weim, too. He'd rather be running than sitting pretty for a picture. Maybe when he's older we'll get some great ones. =)
