Have you ever thought about what a blessing it is to be able to SEE !!! I think about it everyday!!! To be able to HEAR !!!!! I think about these things everyday!!!!!! Why????
Because I am legally blind in one eye !!!!! Don't see too good out of the other!! When I look at the computer screen all I see is blur!! It takes my glasses and store bought magnifying glasses and a magnifying glass to see the screen!!!!!!!!!!! If I make an error please forgive me. I can't always see it!!! I am stone deaf in my left ear!!! If we are sitting and my left ear is facing you I can no t hear anything you say. I have to have my good ear facing you to be able to hear you!!!
Yes I need new glasses but we can't afford them. Tom needs new glasses too. Tom needs surgery more!! It is getting closer to his surgery!! Pretty soon!!
Heat is what we have today!!! I hope you all have the very best week end you can have!!!
Love coming your way, Bambi & Happy
Hi Fern,
ReplyDeleteWe are so glad that you can see and hear as well as you can. Our Mom says if the house caught fire, the first thing she would grab, after us, would be her glasses. She is lost without them.

Prior to Mom having LASIK done, the furst thing in the morning and the last thing at night she did was put on/take off her glasses -

ReplyDeleteHi there Fern and gang, I think all of us are finding our hearing getting a bit worse as we age. It does sound quite difficult to read the computer though so I am thankful that you blog and are so faithful with leaving comments.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you today.

Aren't we all lucky that there are things such as glasses to help us manage? We Americans are truly fortunate.

Hi Fern, first of all, I'm sending lots of birthday wishes to Don! Happy Birthday Don!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe are very lucky for what we have and I appreciate you sharing this with us. It is very hard to be partially blind and deaf. My mother is deaf without the help of her hearing aids and Bernie, her boyfriend has no eyesite in his left eye and almost blind in the right so he cannot drive.
Have a nice weekend! Stay cool.. It is rainy and cool today in New England!
xxoo

Our mom sure needs her glasses! She's blind as a bat without them!
ReplyDeleteThe dishwasher in our house is mom and her own two hands!
Love ya lots

We are happy that you are able to blog and be our friend.... Yes, there is so much to be thankful for. I hope you have a fun weekend! Keep smiling!
ReplyDeleteI love this photo of you!
ReplyDeleteYou're looking pretty and sassy!
Stay out of the heat!
Hugs,

I hope you and Tom can get your glasses soon. Blog Mom isn't legally blind but she sure can't do much without hers. Blogging must be extra hard work for you and you still do it. Some humans are pretty amazing and I guess you must be one of those.

We totally agree with Remington! We are happy you can blog and be our friend, Our mum has always worn glasses and her hearing isn't what it was but she says as long as she is upright and able to take care of herself thats good enough for her.
ReplyDeleteYes, being able to see is very important to all of us. Our mom can't see so well because she has cataracts. I, Penny have them too!
ReplyDeleteWe hope you have a fun and cool weekend!
Aire-hugs,

Hi Fern,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful picture of you....we didn't know you had trouble seeing but we commend your excellent posts...as far as we know there have been no errors. Great job,
Madi and Mom
Hi Fern,
ReplyDeleteGreat job on posting. Most people don't think of how much of a blessing it is to be able to see or hear. I am grateful for each day!
Hi Fern! Would it help if I typed in all caps? I wear glasses, too. Ever since I was little I couldn't see very far away. For a long time I just thought that was the way the world looked. Then one day I got glasses and I was amazed that I could see every individual leaf on the trees! I wear bifocals now, so I can read. I am never without my glasses. Sight is a precious thing and so is hearing. I love music, the sound of my grandchildren calling my name, laughter. Come on over to my blog. I have giveaways....you must enter!

Hi Fern it is so much cooler here today and lots of rain. I'm not sure it passed 80 yet.
ReplyDeleteLots of flash floods in the area. I'm glad we're on high ground,
Hugs to you and the critters.
