Wednesday 19th of May 2010

I haven't been able to take any garden pictures in the last two days. Monday it was very dark no sun at all but no rain. Tuesday we had another dark day and one and a half inches of rain. Today it is sunny and if it stays that way I will gets some pictures. The garden shoot up in the last two days!!! So the garden didn't care at all that it was dark and it rained yesterday!!!
Here is little Jake. This picture was taken a few weeks ago. I haven't seen Jake in about 5 or 6 days now. I hope he is alright. He is one year old now and if he showed any interest in mating he has been run off by the females. He is just the cutest little coon!!!
My sweet sweet girl Bambi. I love her so much and she is 12 years and 5 months about!!! We don't know her exact age. What month she was born only a guess. That is one nice thing about having a dog that is not a rescue dog.
The computer is still not happy. It is doing funny things to me the last couple weeks!!!
I love you blog friends!!! I love your visits. I need your visits!!! So please leave a comment!!
I will do my best to get back to you so we can talk!!!
Lots of love coming your way, Bambi & Fern

  2. Love the little coon, Jake! He is too handsome to not have a girlfriend or two, isn't he? It looks like you leave food out for him, is that right? If so, you remind me of my late grandmother who faithfully fed the coons "table scraps" every morning. How wonderful it is to take care of the wild animals.

  3. I bet Jake has gone out courting a lady coon!

I have baby tomatoes on one of my plants...of course I bought them with flowers on them already, so I cheated, ha!
I do love homemade tomato sandwiches. I bought some organic strawberries and you were right, yum!
Headed back out to play in the dirt!
Hugs to you, Tom, and critters,

  4. Oh I agree with Ms. K nothing better than a homemade sandwich with a little lite mayo and salt and pepper...now my mouth is watering.
My Dad has 11 plants just like last year. He had enough for us and the neighbors.

  5. Hi Madi and Mom,
I have 6 plants 6 tomatoes plants. Last year we have 3. There were times I would haave liked more.
This year we planted 8 seeds and 7 came up. The very first day we put the little babies out side one of them was hit by a flying branch and it cut the poor little thing in half!!! So we have 6 and they have fruit coming on them!!!

  6. We always think, if we've got the clouds, just rain. Hate to have to worry about if and when!

Love little Jake. Alpha had a pet raccoon when she was little. Found it injured on the road. They used to give it an ice cube and of course it disappeared when he washed it. He never worked it out!

  7. Howdy Miz Fern! Love the picture of the raccoon! I don't care for overcast days at all! I hate them! Unless it rains, then I can handle that okay. I love sunshine! Hope all your days are sunny!

  13. What an adorable little fellow Jake is! He must be so much fun to have as a visitor. Is Bambi alright with him. And how about your lovely kitty Happy?
We hope he's well and just out finding companionship with a sweet lady racoon.

  14. Hi Kari,
I would love to answer your comment but when I go to your blog it is a dead end. How do I get to you????
Happy is good!!! Thank God. Thanks for asking.
Bambi has been around coons ever since she came to live with me. That has been 12 years and 3 months. I have been friends to the coons
over 20 years. Bambi doesn't pay any attention
    to the coons at all!!!!
The coons are still very leery of Bambi except for the old ones.
    Thanks for coming.
