The second photo is our home grown turmeric. isn't it beautiful !!!!!!!!!! There is a lot of turmeric there. It will last us months!!! You use it just like you would ginger root and you store it the same too. We put it in almost everything we cook!! It is the best thing for inflammation in the body. It will stop Alzheimer's in it's tracks!!!
We take it in pill form also!!! If you don't know about it you should learn. It is called Indain Gold!!! B/c it came from there!!

Hmm..interesting. We'll have to look into that. Thanks Fern
ReplyDeleteDidn't know that about turmeric. Thanks for sharing that.
ReplyDeleteTHAT is very good information. You have a BIG crop of it. It must be delicious when it is HOME GROWN.
ReplyDeleteHi Fern, I have never seen the plant form of Tumeric. I do know that it is very very good for liver problems(which I have); I haven't taken it because it is so very expensive. Thank you for sharing-I must investigate growing it. Sending love your way.

M says she should check out the Termeric thingy. Looks like it might be a good thing to use.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is pretty!!!
ReplyDeleteHello Friend! What a lovely picture of you, and what great info on termeric--I had no idea, and will also have to do some more reading on it. Hope your weather is warmer, and YOU are doing well! Lots of love coming from warmer Virginia! :-)
ReplyDeleteI have them at home too and I use it for cooking curry. However, we have to handle them with extra care as the yellow stain is very strong and difficult to be got rid of.
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing, we never use that but maybe we will try. Hope you're feeling okay!
ReplyDeleteI know it was recommended for Sam but it was too late. I don't think I've ever seen the plant before - I usually just see the powdered form.
