Hi Blog Friends, yesterday I spent almost all of the day trying to answer your comment, except for 7 walks with Tinker and some playing ball with her. I can't seem to get her real interested in the ball!!
I have about 11 more comments to answer and then how ever many for today!!!!! I may not make all the comments!!
Today I have about 12 hours of things to do for the garden and some cooking to do as well.
Tinker, I think is part Beagle, not Doxie!! She is probably 6 to 8 months old not a year or 2. Boy you can't trust anyone when they are trying to place a dog!!! I can see the reason for it, there desperation!!!!!
Please know if I haven't gotten to you I am really really trying!!!!
Love coming your way, Fern & Tinker

Hey Fern & Tinker!
ReplyDeleteWow, you're both very busy! Just visit whenever you can...we know how it goes. Tinker, you're a cutie no matter what's inside...the heart is what counts most!

Heh. That was what I found about Penn too... in reverse. He wasn't less than a year; he was 2-3. He wasn't small... he was quite tall/large for a JRT. But he found a forever home, and it appears Tinker has too?

Hi Fern, please don't worry about getting back to me or anyone else. Focus on your priorities, your house and home and of course Tinker and Happy. There's no sense in trying to do everything half-heartedly so just look after the stuff that really matters. We don't want you to tire yourself out and then not be able to look after things. Sound reasonable?
ReplyDeleteWhisky doesn't like playing with balls either. In fact she doesn't like any toys made out of rubber. She only likes stuffed toys! Good luck in finding something that Tinker likes!
ReplyDeleteHi Fern, Glad to hear Tinker is settling in; a beagle mix huh? I still can't decide about her coloring though-reminds me of whippet or something else. Our Reggie has never played with a ball or any other toy, he doesn't know how to play. I think he was a puppy mill dog.
ReplyDeleteHave a delightful day and not worry about getting back to me, do it when you can.
Hugs, Noreen & Reggie
Hi Fern, I can't get Maggie interested in playing ball either. I toss it to her and it can even bounce off her nose and she just doesn't get it! Kind of funny to watch but not fun to keep retriving the ball youself!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day, Gail
We hope Tinker helps you in the garden and in the kitchen, Fern! You girls sound like you're very busy!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots
Maggie and Mitch
Hi Fern
ReplyDeletePlease don't worry about visiting, plus I know you are on dial up.
I know you have your hands full, love hearing what you and Tinker have been doing, She will pick up how to play ball with you soon;)
Have a good week
See Yea George xxx
Miss Fern, you know we hounds mature a little slower in the brain than in the body, right? She looks at least a year and a half old to me. I don't like balls at all, but give me a Kong with my dinner in it or a few treats and I'm a happy girl. Maybe you should try something like that with her.
ReplyDeleteBunny
I'm sure that she is going to keep you quite busy, especially for the near future! You (and she) will do fine, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are doing ok over there...AND that things are going ok with the new doggie!!! I'm sure they are, you seem to have a giant heart:)

Hi Fern, thank you for your comment. It's always nice to receive something from you. I hope that everything is going well for you, Tinker, Happy and of course, Tom.
ReplyDeleteHi Fern and Tinker! I know how hard it can be to catch up, because that's what I'm doing!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that things continue to go well with you and your new girl! We have dogs that aren't interested in balls either--Aren't Goldens supposed to be??!! I guess that no one told them that! :-)))
Hi Fern
