The coon above is Jackie and her baby who I have not named yet!!! I will not be seeing them much any more in the day time b/c as soon as it gets a little cooler they will sleep most of the day and be ready to eat at dark thirty.

I would love to see those raccoons in my back yard, Fern, because they are super adorable. Wouldn't it be funny is you named the baby coon Onassis or Jack? If the baby is a male, that is!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a nice weekend!

ReplyDeleteI'm late getting here, but we still have one more day to our weekend, (YAY!!) and so I'll say that I hope you've been enjoying it and are getting some relief from the heat! Although I'm told by the weathermen (who think they are always right) that the heat will be returning in a couple of days--We'll see!! :-))
ReplyDeleteI hope your enjoying your weekend! I can't believe it was your hottest summer ever! That is great! The weather has changed in New England, it is cooler and the nights are shorter :( Although I do love the fall but I REALLY LOVE the warm weather!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Labor Day!

Hi Fern and critters,
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a restful Labor Day...I've been busy trying to catch up on chores since we've been at the lake so much lately...
Hugs Girlfriend,

Hello friend and family! We are going to be staying at home too. Mum had decorated the house with red white and blue decorations. When we lived at the shore, big celebrations to mark the end of the summer season were traditional. Where we are now, it's just, sales, sales and more sales.
ReplyDeleteMum has gone retro and is making hot dogs served in little red baskets, watermelon punch and red, white and blue jello. Even though Grammy is tube fed, mum still likes to make her feel a part of things. We also have some sparklers we'll light and wish old man summer goodbye. (It will still be hot here for months!)
Be sure to send beautiful Jackie our love.
P.S. After our day at the computer, we kitties will be spending our day napping and chasing the decorations on mum's porch!
ReplyDeleteThe raccoons are so cute! Hope you had a great weekend.
