Hi, how are you today?? It is so hot here!!! It feels like August !!! The picture above is of Bruce and his Dad and my first hubby. This was the first weekend for Bruce in his forever home. 6 weeks old.
This is a scenic quilt made by (a use to be) friend. She has moved two times since that quilt show and the second time she moved she didn't tell me she was going. She didn't tell any of her friends. She was running from an abusive husband. I hope she made it. I hope she got away from him!!! I know from experience how that is......
This is Mary and her family, Jake and Jacky. Jake is the one on the right. He has now been run off, because Mary doesn't want any inbreeding. Jacky is the one in the middle. She will have her first litter in about a month. She should be already pregnant Mary is now my oldest coon. She is 4 years old. My pretty boy has passed and his sister has passed. They made it to 8 years old. That is very old for a coon.
I hope you feel good today and have a good day!!
Love coming your way, Bambi, Happy and & Fern
Hey Fern, We always love hearing about your raccoons. And of course about your life.

Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh and Ruairi
Hi Fern we've actually had two days of very pleasant weather here in Raleigh. Only 79 yesterday no humidity and a slight breeze.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilt.
Looks like the Racoons are enjoying a nice breakfast.

Hi Fern! It's hot here, too, but I'll not complain for I remember the snowy, icy, cold winter we just had. I hate winter! I'd rather sweat than shiver. Love your little raccoon family! How fun to keep them as "pets" even though you don't really keep them. They keep you! Enjoy your day!

Great pics! You are one interesting lady, my friend. Such a joy to read your blogs. Thank you. Keep smiling!
ReplyDeleteI also hope your friend made it ok as I too can relate to that. LOve the pictures of your coons, and you will have babies soon too. How Lovely. Love the quilt and maybe you will see your friend again some day.. HUgs GJ x
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely quilt! It looks almost like an elegant stained glass window. It is sad to loose friends but it sounds like the lady couldn't take any chances.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, we love to see and hear about you raccoons! They are really so dear. And babies on the way! We can't wait.
Bruce was such a little sweetheart. He looks like a Steiff toy. Easy to see why you loved him so.
We are cooking here, weather wise. It's 110F/
43.3C. Can't even sit outside. Horrible!
Love to you.
My right hand is nearly numb from cold--I should wear gloves when blogging this early in the morning.
ReplyDeleteWe are waiting for it to get a bit lighter before setting off on the morning walk. Can't picture being hot at the moment.

Hi Fern,
ReplyDeleteHot?! LOL! It's so cool here I'm not even going to give the babies a bath today.
Oh, such a beautiful quilt. My friend and I are making a quilt this summer. I can't wait!
I love it when you share pictures of your raccoons! So cute!

Love the quilt and of course the picture of Bruce. Most of the doggies at my obedience class are Shepherds. They are so smart...they make me look like the class dunce!

Hi Fern-
ReplyDeleteI put out some DE for the slugs, around the Marigolds, Hostas, Basil, Lettuce and other sluggy favorites. So far it seems to be doing the trick! Thanks again!

What a beautiful quilt - it looks almost luminiscent!! And love those 'coons - they sure are cute. My stepmom used to have a family that would come to her back door every evening. She would put table scraps out for them and they knew when dinner time was. She once even had a skunk and its family come for the buffet - one was all white - just beautiful. Thanks for your post -
