All I can say about school is that Since my Dad had not ever go to school as a boy b/c he was blind himself, I guess it was not thought about??? I had gone a few weeks in first grade only. I had spent only another few weeks in second grade before heading to New York City. So no school for me!!

That is very interesting.... back in the day... they did not have many schools for students with SPECIAL NEEDS like your dad who was blind. Well, we guess not totally blind since he could see YOUR EYES after the surgery.

My mom is a teacher and she said it's true, kids used to not have to go to school. Now, in California, it is not mandatory to go to kindergarten. A lot of people don't know that!
