Everybody --everybody just says happy birthday to me at Christmas time!!
It gos like this Happy birthday -- Merry Christmas always together!!! It is almost as bad as being born on Christmas..... I never had a birthday party in my life!!! I have had very few gifts for just my birthday in my life!! It has always been combined. Sadly I have lived on this earth now 78 years tomorrow and IT REALLY DOESN'T MATTER ANY MORE!!!!
I use to be sick so much of my life. I didn't have a good start in life. My first husband beat me every so often!!! I drank to forget!!! My diet was awful!!! I never dreamed I would live this long!!! I was married to a bad husband for 25 years!!! The only good thing that came out of that marriage was two boys. They are both complaining of getting old now!!! LOL
Then Tom came into my life and I knew right away things could be different!! They are so very different now--- thank GOD!!!!! Thank Tom too!!! I stopped drinking-- cold turkey!!! It took a long time for Tom to see I really needed a diet change but he did see it and for 8 years now we eat super healthy!!!

ReplyDeleteMy Brother was born on the 23rd.. He used to complain of the same things. It was difficult to feel sorry for him though... since I never had a birthday party EITHER.. and was born in September. LOL
You should throw yourself a half birthday party in June!

When I was little I used to think that all the Christmas happiness was someone connected to my birthday. Now I've decided it still is. That makes us Christmas babies extra special, don't you think?

So I have the combo birthday/Christmas and the combo Valentine's Day/anniversary. I should have known better for my anniversary! Sheesh. So glad you and Tom found each other!
ReplyDeleteHi Fern, it's really okay you know. Why? Well because it's not so much who you started out with or what happened long ago. What really matters now is what you have and who you have it with. We all have had regrets, maybe a few oops and "ah's" but what the hell, it's called life and it's a part of growing up. We all like you and that's good isn't it? It's a long way up to that truck cab Fern, better to celebrate it closer to the ground. What do you think? ;) Happy birthday Fern.
