BIG Rain-- week end

Tallahassee got it's name b/c of the 4 hills.  The Indians named it Tallahassee.  We live on one of those hills!! We have had over 8 inches of rain so far this week-end and (they) say it will rain until Monday night!!!  We are suppose to have had as much as 20 inches of rain by then!!!  Flooding YES!!!
We don't flood here tho b/c Tom did a lot of work shaping our land to drain the water and he built 2 holding ponds also.  He did this when we were first married!!  He use to work in the yard all the time!!!
The cats are sleeping away the day so they can play all night!!!
Love coming your way, Circle, Allie, Max & Fern

  1. Stay dry, all of you!!

    Bart, Ruby and Otto

  2. We are so glad to hear that you are safe from any flooding...
We hope that All of our furends are, as well.

  3. What a beautiful photo, Fern!
We are so happy to hear that you won't be flooding! Stay safe!

    Love ya lots,
    Mitch and Molly

  4. You have me laughing, Fern, because you have those kitties pegged. They're building up all their midnight madness energy. I'm glad to know that you don't have to worry about flooding, but sounds like a lot of rain and time indoors.

  5. Glad to know that you will not flood.

  6. OMD....We must live under a rock. Not a drop of rain here in the heartland of Florida!

    Please don't float away!

  7. Hi Fern, 8 inches of rain already and you're going to get more? We're here on the west coast of Canada and it rains here too but not 8 inches in a couple of days and certainly not 12 more inches in two days. That's just crazy...

  8. Hi Fern! Aww your kitty is so sweet! Wow, that's a lot of rain! Glad you will stay dry.. Hope you're having a good weekend!!

  9. Hope you don't develop web feet!! The kitten looks very cosy. Stay dry nd warm xox

  10. Stay dry!

We have a lot of rain lately too! :(

  11. So glad to hear you are safe from flooding. That kitty looks so comfortable - she's not worried about the rain :-) Take care - hugs and licks from Magic xx

  12. HOwdy Fern, glad your Tom was so smart when he worked on your property. Keep dry and hope your weekend is a good one. No worries, and love, Carol (and Stella and Rory)

  13. That was smart of Tom. Stay nice and dry inside!

    Oink oink,
Katie and Coccolino the mini pig

  14. Hi,

I came across your site while searching Google for blogs talking about growing/gardening equipment and related keywords and was wondering if you'd be open to doing a sponsored blog post.

We have a site that growing/gardening equipment and are looking for more exposure online.

Our budget for this is initially $20 for the post and we would give you the blog post (gardening related & already written) as well as a picture to post. All you would have to do is post it.

Here's a sample post we did on another blog:

We're really just testing out different bloggers, and if you bring some good traffic, we're totally open to doing an annual banner ad!

Also if you have some other blogs, please send them over and I'll take a look and we might be open to doing a post on those as well!

Let me know if you'd be open to this!

  15. Nothing like being preprared eh? Love the kitty, so darn cute. This weather in our parts is very strange the last few weeks. From almost Spring to oh yeah it's till just February all in a span of a week. Yuck. I don't like it. Hugs. tammy

  16. We are getting a lot of rain as we "speak" and I hope it doesn't freeze as the weatherman predicts b/c I have to do a lot of driving this afternoon b/c of my pet sitting business.
I browsed through the pictures of precious kitties and it looks like they are spoiled and loved by you and your hubby! Cute, cute!
