I can't wait for spring!!! The picture below was taken in 87. We had tomatoes and peppers enough for a restaurant and all the people I walked with each morning and us too!!!!!
Let's think about spring!!
We had the coldest December on record!!
We are very close to having the coldest January!!! Another night to go down below freezing and then another night!!
Alright already!!!

Oh... I'm thinking Spring alright and fresh tomatoes.
ReplyDeleteI have added myself to follow your blog. You are more than welcome to visit my blog and become a follower also.
Fern,
ReplyDeleteI just bought seeds and pots last week so that I can start my tomato plants soon. I love fresh tomatoes and can always use every one I grow - I can them in so many ways - tomato juice, salsa, canned tomatoes, marinara - and this past year, I put some whole tomatoes in my freezer - they work great in soups and sauces.
Have a great weekend.

Spring is a really wonderful time of year, but then we are followed by a HOT, HOT, HOT summer, so we're never in a hurry to see our winters end. Our mama says winter is the very best season here where we live....and she wishes it would last longer.
ReplyDeleteLove to y'all.
Good idea Fern, I am sick of grey days, but spring is around the corner, lets hope this year you get another bumper crop of tomatoes :)
