Good morning blog friends!!! Bambi wanted to say hello to you all this AM ........ She says we are getting ticks and by we she means me too!!! Bambi has Frontline to help her. They haven't made any tick prevention for people yet!!!!!
This is my favorite amaryllis that has just come into bloom. Isn't it pretty!!!!
That is not good!!! Some years in the last 15 years have been so dry. They will survive if you don't water them, just not look great doing it!!!!! I don't water them much anymore.
I surely hope they are over for a long time. It has been years in between them in the past, but the last few years it has only been months between the spells.
Love you all lots, Bambi, Happy & Fern
Your flowers are so pretty! I am happy you are feeling better! Has Tom figured out when he is going in yet? Take care, my friend and have a fun filled day! Keep smiling!
ReplyDeleteHydrangeas are my favorite flowers and they have such a wonderful scent! The only problem with hydrangeas is that they don't last long in a vase and I don't know why that is!
ReplyDeleteTicks are terrible and are so hard to find on dogs and on people! Our Daisy has to stay away from the woods during tick season but somehow she still gets bothered by them which makes for an expensive vet bill!
Fern
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE the pretty flowers. Can you come and plant some in our yard, my mom needs serious help in the flower area, She plants fake silk ones, BOL no kidding!! HELP!!

ReplyDeleteHello Bambi (and Fern, too)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers. Watch out for those ticks, they sound horrible. We're lucky, we don't have ticks or fleas right where we live.
XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella
Love your amaryllis, Fern! We never see them in the garden - only in containers from forcing the bulbs to bloom at Christmas time!

Wow, your flowers come on so early down there! We won't see Daylilies for a month or two and Hydrangeas in July! Wish we could send you some of our rain...we've had more than enough!

We never seen an Amaryllis free in the wild! We get them in pots too - D has some pretty ones too! We have a few Hydrangea - they help the drainage in the front garden - it rains a lot here ;-)
ReplyDeleteD says when her flowers start really blooming she will post pictures too. You have a lovely garden!
Sorry about the ticks - we don't know how to keep them off either!

What beautiful flowers - you know I love to see them.
ReplyDeleteBe careful about the ticks. I have heard that if you put a dryer sheet (like Bounce) in your pocket, it will keeps bugs away - I don't know if it works for ticks or not.
