I still have a few hours of Monday left. The first picture was taken at the end of her life. She went to the rainbow bridge 4 months after that picture was taken. She was bloated from her medication. We knew it was only going to be months that she had left. I would have done anything to have been able to save her!!!!!!!!!!!
I picture below was taken about 6 months after getting her. She came from a greyhound rescue place in Ga. She was 4 and a half when we got her.
The picture below was taken when Amanda was about 7 and a half. This was a park here in town we went to every morning about 7 to 7:30 am. We usually were there before the grounds keeper was.
Still at the park.
Amanda lived with us 6 and a half years.
In spite of her being sick all of the time we had her, it was a wonderful experience!!!!
Miss Amanda getting her nails done by her Daddy. She loved getting her nails done. If Tom was busy with something else, she would start asking to get in his lap. Tom would have her in his lap and just hold her and pet her , talk to her and then file her nails. He never hurt her so she loved to go through that with him every week. The last few days of her life she was so sick, but it was nail day and she asked and Tom went through it just to please her. That picture was taken when Amanda was about 6 years old.
In spite of her being sick all of the time we had her, it was a wonderful experience!!!!
I love the memories I have of her!!! I am so glad we got her.
Mondays memories.
Love you all lots, Bambi & Fern

She was beautiful and sounds like such a love. We only have one dog that we chose, the other five chose us I guess. When we lived in FL there were lots of greyhounds to rescue - are they a kin to the whippet?
ReplyDeleteI came to your blog because i love animals and quilts too. Have a great day.
