I won One hundred Dollars

Yes, I entered a contest that a grocery store here in town put on. Can you believe it??  I never win any thing.  In the sale flyer it told about the contest and I thought I would have a change to win.
They wanted you to tell them about one of your first meals as a new bride .  Well this was not my first meal by a way but it was my first meal in an new apartment in Miami.
My Mother was not a cook so I had no training!!!!!! I wanted to cook a meatloaf for dinner and I didn't know how.  I didn't have any books to look in so I went to the phone and called a number that was in the phone book.  A woman answered and I said Hey, you don't know me but I am a new bride and want to make a meatloaf tonight for dinner, would you please tell me how you make one???
She laughed and said she would.  She and I talked probably 30 minutes and she told me just how she made hers and I made one that night and it was very good.  I have made them that same way ever since!! 
This grocery store is one of two we have in town that is about 80% organic. We do have another that is 100% organic but it wasn't having the contest.  We are so happy about this b/c it is not looking good for grocery money this week!!  So if the card comes through in time we will have 100.00$ to spend there!!!   YAY  YAY!!!

More good news my dear friends!!  I am out of pain!!!!!  YAY!!

Mosquitoes make it so hard

Mosquitoes make it so hard to take pictures outside. The camera is home now but I still have not gotten any new pictures of Zoie!!!
They attack you so while you are trying to get a good picture.
So here is one of her laying in her chair with me rubbing her belly.
Zoie spends much of her time in her chair that use to be Bambi's chair and before that Amanda's chair. The chair was bought in 67.
It was a good investment for sure!!

Zapper

This is my love vest that I made after losing Amanda.  I made this vest when I was 64 years old and I did not color my hair!!!  It is gray now tho!! I had no pattern telling me what to do-- how to decorate the vest I had in mind. I just did what I thought would look nice.
I don't sew any more friends.  I can not see the needle let alone the hole in the needle. Everything is failing  me now fast-- my sight and my mind is failing me.
I want to thank you all for wishing me out of pain. When I hurt myself in 07 and was hurting for months Tom bought a Zapper for me.  That is a little thing that looks like a small flashlight. Only the end zaps you with this little zap of electric that is suppose to inter rupt your pain signal.  It will take my pain away unless I have so much inflammation that it can not take it all away.  That is where I am now.  Now I have to be still and do ice and then heat and ice and heat.  To take the inflammation down.  Being still is so hard for me to do with this BIG DOG!!!!!!   She is a sweetheart tho!!!

I wish I could say the a few days of rest has done the trick, but sadly I can not~~~~  I am still hurting so bad it is very hard for me to walk Zoie even for short walks.  I have slept in the afternoons and that is highly not me!!!  I never sleep in the afternoons....... 
I have started to take some pain pills and I hate to take them.  But I hurt so badly. Tom as been so busy doing this and that --that he hasn't stopped to help me get out of pain but he says he will tomorrow!!!

I am hurting

I am hurting  awful!!!  I can hardly move!!!    It is my lower back.
I am going to be off for a while!!!!  Can not stand hurting like this.
Tom will fix it some how-- he always does!!!!!!!

Happy is different

Happy is different then any other cat that I have ever had and I have had a lot of cats.  Showing you the pictures can you see what is different about her?????????????
She never curls her tail-- never!!!!  Her tail is completely normal other wise.  She never curls it when sleeping also!!! It is always hanging out to get stepped on!!!!!!  Poor baby it has been stepped on a few times too!!!  It has been rolled on!! Have you ever had a cat that didn't curl it's tail???????
Happy Labor Day!!  Hope you have had a good one.  Tom worked today so it was just like another day for us.
