Can you believe in the cold weather we are still eating strawberries from our garden everyday!!! We planted (well Tom did most of it) over 200 strawberries in the ground a few weeks ago and one already has a bloom on it!! We kept a few in their pots so we would keep right on getting berries and in case something happened to the ones in the ground!! The ones in the ground have taken their transplant great and are all doing wonderful!! The ones in the pots are still giving berries for us . Some days it is only one big berry some days we have 2 or 4 !!!
The first picture of Zoie is her beside me every morning while I am on the computer!!! Yesterday I was making soup and while I was busy in the kitchen she was busy tearing up my walking boot!!! The left one!! She is still a big big PUPPY!!!!!
Love coming your way, Zoie & Fern

Hi Fern, fresh local strawberries would be great. Unfortunately, we can only get California berries "fresh" in the market now. They smell and look nice but don't taste like much at all. Are you sharing your berries with Tom, Zoie and Happy?
ReplyDeleteHi Fern and Zoie, Love the photo of her, she is a beautiful girl although a big girl.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy this has turned out so well for you all. Reggie continues to hang on-he is having minor seizures now but not enough to impact his quality of life. I am so in awe that you are still getting strawberries.
Hugs today,Noreen & Reggie
Fresh strawberries! Lucky you.
ReplyDeleteToday the LEFT... tomorrow the RIGHT!!! hehehe
ReplyDeleteStrawberries... YUM. Wait until Zoie discovers how delicious they are!!!
Wow! I can't believes you still have strawberries! All our plants have gone to sleep for the winter.
ReplyDeleteZoie suuuuure is pretty! And are you SURE she tore up your boot? Ninjas sneak into my house ALL the time and do ker-azy stuffs like that. You prolly just walked in right as she skeered them off.

Zoie is adorable. And I love strawberries though the ones we get here are rather sour. :(
ReplyDeleteZoie is sooooo pretty, and I can tell from your posts, how in love with her you are.
ReplyDeleteWow! Strawberries. It's too early for me to start longing for summer.
Hi Fern! On a cold day a fresh strawberry would be a welcomed bit of summer in the middle of winter--Or Zoie keeping me warm would do it too! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry that I've missed your calls!!! I'm off work this Thursday and Friday--Lets try to chat on one of those days, okay? I'm on eastern time, but my days start pretty darn early because of our dogs! I'm looking forward to chatting with you!! ~Kim at Golden Pines!
Strawberries! Holy macaroni! Zoie you are adorable

ReplyDeleteYou two have formed a very nice bond it seems...so glad all is well there and those strawberries are amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteZoie is a wonderful snoopervisor.. and i am so happy that she has a forever home with you. We can't grow strawberries here as its too warm.. but we do have them in the highlands... there's loads of strawberry farms there. It would be nice to wake up to some strawberries in a pot.
ReplyDeleteHi Fern, what a great companion you have found in Zoie. She loves you so much she wanted to keep you close so chewed up your shoe ha ha. Enjoy your strawberries. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteShe may be a big puppy but she is a cute puppy!! The strawberries look yummy!!

Oh, no. Not your boot--I hope it wasn't too damaged. Does Zoie like strawberries? Our Toby sure does (but not Sage).

ReplyDeleteRuh roh...tore up the walking boot huh? Guess that was a sign that you should be wearing it and walking her haha :)
