Hi there Blog Friends, This is Tinker with her soft collar on. Has any one out there had a soft collar before????????? I had requested it for her thinking she would do like Bambi and knock her head around on everything. Save your money people. She figured out right away how to move that collar out of her way to lick or scratch anything she wanted to in less then a day. She is not wearing it any more b/c she has never bothered her incision once!!! It doesn't seem to bother her at all .
She has not slowed down at all and she is doing wonderfully.
I had 22 comments with my last post and I want to THANK-YOU so much!!! When I come to your blog it takes me a long time to get your blog loaded b/c I am on dial up so I haven't gotten to some of you. Please now I am trying!!
Love coming your way, Tinker & Fern

Hahaha... Mugsy, my departed male Jack Russell, had to have a HARD collar about five sizes too large because he'd just intentionally walk into things, dent it up, and have access to whatever he wanted to reach...

Hi Fern, We are glad Tinker is doing so well. Maggie never bothered her stiches either...I think she was just sooo glad to be back at our house after being at the vet for her surgery!! Hugs, Gail
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Tinker is doing so well. I didn't know there was such a thing as a soft collar. I'm glad she's not bothering her stiches anyway. She might when they start healing and itching though.

Don't think you need to worry about Tinker bothering the incision. She looks really happy.
ReplyDeleteI've had a soft collar before and I was so miserable with it on that I just stood there like a statue for an hour looking like I'd lost my best friend so mom gave in and took it off.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that you didn't need yours either, Tinker!
Love ya lots
Maggie
I've had good luck with the soft e-collars, but my favorite are what is called a 'comfy-cone' with is stiffer than this one. But anyway, I'm glad your girl is home where she belongs and I hope she continues to mend with no problem and you have a good week!! Take care!!
ReplyDeleteTinker, we're glad that you're on the mend!!

Hey Tinker!
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm glad you avoided the dreaded cone of shame! Looks like you are pretty much healed and back to 100% and I'm so glad!

Hi Fern and Tinker, well the blue collar did look quite attractive against her brown fur. You have great color co-ordination Fern. And we're glad that Tinker hasn't bothered her stitches.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good girl Tinker is with her stitches. I'm glad she doesn't have to wear the cone for a long time!
ReplyDeleteNubbin wiggles,
Oskar
I actually think you look grrrreat in that pretty colored cone thingy.
ReplyDeleteMiss Fern,
ReplyDeleteEven though da collar didn't work, da color goes great wif Tinker's furs :)
So happy dat her is not goin' after her stitches cuz dat would mean her might have to wear da lamp shade...ugh. ;)
Woofs and Licks,
Maggie Mae
PeeS I don't really likes dat grinder thingy on my nails but mom keeps it around to try every once and a while. I am not a big fan of gettin' my nails trimmed but I am gettin' better cuz mom gives me yummy noms while her is doin' it, I think I have trained her well!
I'm glad that Tinker is recovering so well. We like Bite Not collars a lot better than cones!

Hola Tinker! sorry about you having to wear that cone. hope you get well soon. Rio from Barcelona
ReplyDeleteSo glad Tinker is doing so well. We once used a long piece of stiff foam rubber, rolled into a tube. It didn't restrict vision like a regular cone does, but it kept the dog from bending his neck enough to get to the stitches.
ReplyDeleteHope she heals super quick!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFern, I was so glad to hear from you. I've been visiting your older posts to catch up and wanted to let you know how sorry I was to read about sweet Bambi.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have your hands full with Tinker, but what fun you will have in the process!
