Hmmm... they're much prettier than the scary, stumbling, starving thing we saw in the city a few weeks ago... Oddly, I rarely seen them in our woods. They must stick to the other end of the road where there are more houses and more opportunities to scavange.
Dearest Fern and Angel bambi you know how I love seeing stuff about these Racoons! They really need to meet our nasty texan racoons that arent very nice :) I loved this post and it made me laugh!
Hi Fern, interesting wildlife. We see raccoons up here too sometimes but my mom and dad check the yard at night before letting us out in case there's animals that shouldn't be there. Thanks for the note Fern, my mom and dad miss my Uncle Max, who passed away 7 years ago today. Their hearts still bleed.
I might be the only one who is freaked out by raccoons. I really don't like them but even I agree that they are beautiful and extremely talented at getting what they want.
Hey Fern! Wow, my Mom's saying how cute those critters are! I think they are evil invaders of our territory! I'd like to give them a big Sarge Bash...but I suppose they are cute too. Great pix of them!! :) Grr and Woof, Sarge, COP
Cute!! When I worked at a vet's office years ago, one of our vets rescued a baby raccoon that had been abandoned. It was neat to watch it's behavior, and I learned a lot. Isn't it cute how they wash their food?
Hi Ferne, Just stopping in to see what you are up too these days - love seeing your raccoons. Hope it's not too hot down Florida way, but since it's so hot here in the mountains, I'm afraid it's hot in Tallahassee too!!
Hellooo Miss F ~ I thought I would toddle over and thank you for wishing my peep Happy Birthday on Mayor Frankie's bloggie on Friday. Oh I have raccoons too. One evening while we were eating corn on the cob we heard a small sound at our screen door and it was two racoons trying with their paws to open my door. I told them all leftovers were mine. These are so cute; are they pets? Raccoons are so clever, but around here they can be a pest. My father-in-law used to have to come up with all kinds of scare tactics to keep them out of the sweet corn.
Thanks for visiting my blog; always nice to meet a fellow animal lover!
