I have tried to load pictures two times today and they will not load. So I guess I will just go a head
and ask my questions. We went to the farmers market and got some fresh cranberries. I don't have a favorite recipe for cranberry sauce. I have never made it before. I am from a Mother who was not a home-maker. Do you make cranberry sauce?? What is your favorite way to make it???
We like brussel sprouts. I have roasted them and they were alright that way. We didn't not like them that way, but they were not our favorite. We have boiled them in water and in chicken broth. Liked them better in chicken broth. How do you cook them??
Love coming your way, Bambi & Fern
PS brussel My speller says that is spelled wrong? It doesn't know what I'm trying to spell.

Mom makes whole cranberry sauce and she just goes by the directons on the back of the grocery story package. We'll have to shoot your mom an email. It's sugar and water and a chopped up orange and the bag of cranberries and you cook them until they make cool popping noises.
ReplyDeleteWe love brussels too! We just cook them in a very small amount of water till they're done and add a pat of butter. yummmmmmm
Love ya lots

Ack! I don't like brussel sprouts at all! You're on your own, there.
ReplyDeleteMy father in law makes some pretty good cranberry sauce. I know he crushes them somehow. The CranApple website actually has a lot of good cranberry recipes. We made some delicious punch from one of their recipes for Thanksgiving. You might check there for some ideas!
Hi Fern,
ReplyDeleteThank you all for the beautiful Christmas Card...
I've never made fresh cranberry sauce I actually like the kind in the can...odd I know but I do. I bought fresh cranberries this weekend too. Hubby and I are making
cranberry orange scones with weekend. It will be our first attempt...I'll let you know how it goes.
I like brussel sprouts too but I buy the frozen kind never used fresh. I boil them in enough water to cover them. Once they are tender, I drain them the add Brummel Brown margarine...it is yummy made with yogurt.
Hugs and GREAT questions today,

ReplyDeleteFor the past few years I've done nothing but steam my veggies. I add just a tad bit of salt and I feel like I'm eating more healthy. I steam just about anything I can steam... LOL.
