Rescue Girl Amanda & a Coon family

Good Morning !!! It is Cold in Florida !!! We are going to have a little frozen precipitation tomorrow evening, THEY say!!!! Then a week of below freezing temperatures. This is a record cold winter for us, as it is for so many others!!!! Thank God for a warm house that is paid for!!
The pictures are of our sweet lady Amanda that was rescued from the Greyhound Rescue place in Ga. She was a wonderful friend that we loved so much, but she was sick from the start. The last 6 years of her life were good. We did everything we could to make her life comfortable and happy. She was much loved!!!
Mary and her family. Mary is on the left, than Jackie, and then Jake on the right. I know I am not suppose to love wild animals but I do!!! They don't know they are wild. When I go out to feed them they dance like dogs would when they are happy. They are very sweet animals really.
They would never hurt you unless they were sick. I have been there friend for over 20 twenty
years and I have never seen a sick coon except once. We took her to the vets and she had distemper. She was not mean, just sick with distemper.
Have as good a day as you can!
Love you all lots, Bambi & Fern

Good morning friends. Another rain filled day!!!! We are suppose to have rain all day!!!! I feel so sorry for the animals!!! So many days this fall and winter are stay in days!!! Happy in the first picture is an indoor and outdoor cat. She love to be in and she loves to be out. I wish I knew how old she was. She is getting very arthritic!!!!! She can't jump up on the bed or on her food table any more. Tom has put a small table next to the bed so she can jump on that and then on the bed. She uses it all the time. We have had to put her food down on the floor and tell Bambi she can't have it. That has been fun!!!! But Bambi has now gotten the message. She leaves it alone even at night. Bambi is such a good girl!!!!!
This is the most currant picture of Tom and I you have ever seen. I can't tell you with any assurance what year that was taken, but not that long ago. We wear the same things at Christmas every year so it was taken 2 to 4 years ago. I think it was 3 years ago. The reason I am showing you the picture is to show you my hands. You can see the arthritis in my hands!!!!
My hands are really in bad shape!!!
I can still type thank God. I can still talk to my friends. You are so very important to my well being!!!!! Thank you for all your comments!!!!!!!!!
Love you lots, Bambi, Happy and Fern

Baltimore Album Quilt and Bambi -were she is when it is raining

Hi friends, another raining day!!!
The quilt above is a beautiful quilt and I didn't take a very good picture of it. Sorry! I still wanted to show it to you. I have never done any Baltimore album work because it is hand work and my hands are a mess with arthritis. My hands have been full of arthritis since I have been relatively a young woman.I know why, but not going to tell you today. It is a long story.
Anyway it is beautiful!!

Bambi is spending another day like this-- waiting for the rain to stop!!!!!!

I know that a lot of my friends are going to or already have snow. Stay warm and dry. Have a good warm week-end!! This kind of weather is good for loving!!!! Happy times!!!!

My home made clothes and a Camellia

Good morning friends.
They say it is suppose to get warm today and rain again tonight and tomorrow. It is not warm yet!!! THEY are not always right. We have had a lot of rain(and we need it) in the last 4 months.
Above is me in my homemade cloths. Everything you can see is homemade. Tom and I were getting ready to go out to eat with my oldest son and his wife. Now I told you all that we don't go out to eat hardly ever, that is true. But when they come to see us we usually go out because my daughter-in law is allergic to my animals. So we can't spend any real time in my house. So we go out. That is the only time we go out to eat, when they come. The picture was taken about
7 or maybe 8 years ago.
The picture below was taken Tuesday. Another one of my beautiful Camellias!!! We are so lucky to live where they are so happy!!! The Camellia is not a small flower. The bush can get to be 20 feet tall and the flower is 5 to 8 inches across. They are impressive!!
I hope to see you tomorrow but if I don;t I will for sure Friday. Hope you have a good day. Till then, Bambi, Happy and Fern

My Family

Good Morning blog friends. We have a cool rainy morning here. Bambi has been out just to do her thing and then right back in. She does not like to get wet. Happy has not been out yet today. Tom is gone to work. Me, here I am with you, blogging.
We try to be a very healthy family here in Reedville. We exercise everyday! We buy the best food for our inside animals. And we buy the best food for the people too. Organic food for us. We eat very little sweets. We really try to be healthy. We use to drink beer, but we quit that in 84. We don't smoke. Tom never has. I did for a short time only. We are gardeners and grow a lot of our own food. We really try to be healthy.

The pic above is our rescue dog Bambi.
Here is Tom filing Amanda's nails. Tom does that every week to what ever rescue dog we have at the time. Because we only have rescued dogs. We try to do it right!!!! I think, from what I have learned from my blogger friends that most animal people do!!!!
I hope you have a good day.
Love you all lots, Bambi, Happy & Fern
