Up all night so Tom could sleep

The Bengal is still so strong in the two kittens!!!  They are 7 months old give a day or two--- today!!!!!!!!! Max is as big as Circle is as you can see in this picture.
I chose to stay up all night last night so Tom could sleep!!!  They will play for 6 to 8 hours straight and they play ruff!!!  Everything in the house is their play toy. If I try to sleep through their play time Tom will be a waken every 30 minutes.  So I close off the bedroom to them and I stay up.  If I would go to sleep and shout the bedroom door so they couldn't come in they would try to tear the door down REALLY !!!!!!!  Given 6 to 8 hours they would probably have the door tore down!!!  They play so ruff!!!  We need more play toys for them. We have a turbo track coming in the mail for them and I can't hardly wait for it to come!!!!!!!  I bit off a lot keeping the kittens b/c they are so different then just a domestic cat  is!!!  They are MORE EVERYTHING!!!!!  They love and they play much harder then just a cat would!!!!!!

Love coming your way,  Circle, Allie, Max &  Fern

  1. Awwww Fern that was so sweet of you to stay up so Tom could rest.

Maybe you could get some String or Yarn and make a few interesting toys for them.
Perhaps a couple of balls of crumpled aluminum foil...
those are things I used to do for the ONE and ONLY cat we ever had. He also liked to bad around empty peanut butter jars that I had put marbles in.. and screwed the lid down tight.. Lots a Racket.. but he loved it.
sometimes we would take a long piece of yarn and make a big Bow at one end and tie the other to a yard stick... we called THAT game... CAT FISHIN because it looked like a fishing pole.. He was CRAZY over that one.
AND we would get cardboard boxes from the grocery... cut a hole in the side and he would play in there for hours..
BUT the MOST fun was a plain BROWN PAPER bag from the grocery... we would just set it up on the floor and let him Have his way with it... by the end of the day it would be LIMP and crumpled and ... then he would SLEEP on it for hours.
All of these were either FREE or at least CHEAP toys..

  2. We love Frankie Furter and Ernie's suggestions. Gee I wonder if they are really cat fanciers at heart. We've made a mental note never to get Bengal cats. I don't thnk that we could handle the sleep deprivation.

  6. They will grow out of this constant playtime mode! But it can be very wearying! You are amazing, Fern. xox

  7. That was so nice, Fern, to let Tom get much needed rest. I know you'll need some too! Hopefully they'll be out of this night-time play soon!

  8. Fern, you are an angel. I feel bad for you, but then I find myself laughing because I can't imagine how much mischief those kitties must get up to. I will keep my eyes open for interesting kitty toys.
