Another week-end is here

The weeks go by so fast when you are older!!! I remember when time went by slowly but now it is on a race track!!!! LOOK~~~~~~~~~~~~ at my pretty girl!!!!!!!!!!!! She is feeling better!!!!! She is eating and drinking like normal!!! I love her so much and I hated to see her in distress!!!!
Happy week-end dear friends, I will not be on the computer very much over the week-end b/c Tom is home!!!!
He gets all my attention!!!! He is my most favorite man in the whole world!!!

Zoie is not happy about her surgery!!

She was brought home by her Dad just 3 and a half hours after her surgery!!! She was very drunk!!! It was really hard to get her out of the truck!!! I had to hold her up to pee, she started to fall over when she squirted

Poor poor baby!!! She did not have a drop of water yesterday!!! I did cook a egg for her last night. She seemed to enjoy that but didn't want any more or anything else!! She sleep pretty well last night.. This morning she woke me up and we went out and she peed but show no interest in walking at all. She just wanted to come back in and go back to sleep, OH yes, she did have a LITTLE water --- no food. so far today.
I guess the bigger the dog the harder it is on them????? I don't know, the other two dogs I have had as big as her were males!!! She is my only BIG female. I surely hope she will be OK !!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll tell you all, I can use this rest!!
Thank-you all for your kind- good --- well wishes for her well being and recovery.. So very comforting.......

Zoie is out of surgery and is doing well. She will be home from the vets about 3 or 3:30 PM today. She will be sore and not ready to play and run and chase the squirrels I HOPE!!!!

A box of toys from Maggie & Mitch!!!

Our very best friends forever Maggie & Mitch sent Zoie a box of toys!!!!!!!!!!! She has been in hog heaven ever since!!! Our living-room has been littered with all the toys!!! Zoie is one happy girl!!!!.

Maggie is an old girl now and doesn't play with her toys like she use to. I totally understand that!!! Bambi was the same way.. I am the same way too~~~ I don't play with my toys much any more either!!!
Zoie has had this wonderful box of toys now since Saturday afternoon and she has torn two of them up, happily so I might add!!!!

Christmas Cactus on Christmas !!!!!!!! Our lettuce the night before our 18 degrees morning!! We got all the lettuce harvested before the big freeze!!!
We lost all the peppers in the front garden and we lost a lot in the side garden!!! We have chard and strawberries and kale and oregano left ONLY !!!
We are thinking about next years garden!!!

I have been very busy trying to learn how to use this mother board!!!!! It is hard believe me!!!! I have not figured out how to get new photos out of the camera and on my blog!!! How to re size them!!! I knew all that stuff on the other mother board!!! This one is not the same at all!!!! There are so many things I can't do !!

Oh well, I have nothing to do but learn, right???

Look at my pretty Zoie!!!!! She is such a wonderful dog!!!! I love her so much!!! I am so glad I didn't suffer with Tinker and if it had not been for Tom I would have!!!

Happy and Zoie and I are BACK!!!!!! Christmas eve morning our computer died!!!! The mother board went to the bridge!!!! This new one is all different different!!!! I can not get on anything sometimes even my own blog or email ~~~~ darn

The last picture was taken just a month ago when my friend came over for a play date with her dog a Greyhound. From the pictures you can tell I love love love dogs!!!! They are a very big part of my 76 years on this world.

Sweet Zoie & Strawberries

Can you believe in the cold weather we are still eating strawberries from our garden everyday!!! We planted (well Tom did most of it) over 200 strawberries in the ground a few weeks ago and one already has a bloom on it!! We kept a few in their pots so we would keep right on getting berries and in case something happened to the ones in the ground!! The ones in the ground have taken their transplant great and are all doing wonderful!! The ones in the pots are still giving berries for us . Some days it is only one big berry some days we have 2 or 4 !!!
The first picture of Zoie is her beside me every morning while I am on the computer!!! Yesterday I was making soup and while I was busy in the kitchen she was busy tearing up my walking boot!!! The left one!! She is still a big big PUPPY!!!!!

Happy went to the vets yesterday and she had blood work done. This 19 to 21 year old cat has nothing wrong with her kidney's , nothing wrong with her liver!!! She has nothing wrong with her heart and lungs either!!!! Bless her healthy heart she just has ARTHRITIS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy is getting alone pretty well with Zoie most of the time !! The only time we have problems is when Zoie is being too puppy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RACCOONS

For those of you that have followed my blog for a couple of years knows I have feed the coons out of self defense for years and years!!! Money is very tight for us now and we just don't have enough to feed the coons and a big dog so I made a deal with the money maker in this family, TOM that I would stop feeding them food that we had to buy!!!! POOR coons!!!! Some have been coming for years!!! So now that we are eating very healthy and buying organic food from mostly the farmer that grows it I have lots of tops--- lots of greens that I would throw out to the compost bin. So I thought I'll cook those greens and potato skins and such as that and add a little rice and make them a little stew. So now I know you all will think I am crazy and I probably am but that is what I am doing so that the coons still have something good to eat and it is probably better for them than dog food anyway!!! I know I am doing something that I don't have to do!!!! But I have grown to care a great deal for these wild animals and I know they depend on me to feed them SO I am !!!!!
Zoie wants to get too them but of course she can't!!! Bambi in her first years here wanted to get to them too!!! Amanda wanted to two!!!! They both got use to the coons after years of seeing them!!!!

Hi Blogville friends!!! I came today just to tell you that Happy and Zoie are getting along real well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe it???? Yes they are!! We still can't feed Happy in the floor in front of Zoie but they are getting alone really well for it being not 3 weeks yet!!! They sit around in the same room and both help us eat dinner every night!!! Zoie on one side of the table and Happy on the other side!!! All is well in Reedville!!!

We had a very good Thanksgiving!!!!!! It was just Tom and I and the cat and dog!!! Tom worked on Friday!!!

My G-daughter called from Vegas. She had gone to be with her boy-friend so she wasn't alone. They were having a good time with friends at his home.

My oldest son called. He and his wife were at her family's home for the week-end. So all had a wonderful time for Thanksgiving!!! I called my youngest son but got no answer so I don't know what he was doing!!
That is not new!!! I usually hear from him after the fact!!

Zoie is working out so very well. She is a wonderful girl and just right for me with one exception !!!!!!!!!!! I am too old for her!! I can't keep going and walking all day long and that is what she wants to do!!!! That is all she wants to do WALK & WALK & WALK & WALK. Like I have nothing else to do all day long everyday!!!!!! I am doing my best and she is trying to let me do other things like cook ect!!! LOL

Tinker has been adopted!!! I am so happy for her!! She was adopted by a woman who runs everyday and is going to take her running with her!!!! So happy!!!
This woman saw Tinker on my blog on Mayzie's adopt a dog week!!!!! Thank you Lana!!!!!!
The other news is ~~~~~~~~~~~~ my Grand-daughter has a job in LA on General Hospital!!!! So happy for her!!!!

All this news was just to wonderful to wait until next Monday!!!!

Hi Blogville friends this Monday morning!!!

It has been beautiful weather here. Warm but not too warm!!!

Zoie is not like Tinker was at all. Zoie does not want to be alone out in the yard!!
She wants to be with me at all times and Tinker was so much more independent
Zoie is showing no interest in what is on the other side of the fence. She is happy to chase the smells in the fence!! So much better!!!
I surely hope Zoie is in her forever home!!!
I hope you all have a good week!! It is going to be a very busy week and I am going to take time off the blogging this week. So I 'll be back next Monday

Zoie has begun to settle in here really well. She loves me to death and I love her to death too!!! She has totally wrecked all of Bambi's toys but two. A unstuffy toy and a tug-a-war toy is worse for wear but not totally destroyed!!! She has been using Bambi's mattress that is really too small for her but she will have to make do for a while longer b/c Tom didn't take in much $$ this week so her mattress has to wait!!!! More toys too will have to wait!!!! She gets by tho she has critters smells to chase.........

Zoie is one year and 5 months and one day old!!

We got Zoie's medical records finally . This little girl must have come in season one time already. She was born June 16th 2010!!!! We will have to have her spayed soon. She had been checked for heart worms last January but not given any heart worm treatment. So we will have to have her checked again and then start taking heart worm pills once a month!
That photo of her~~~~ she was just standing there so pretty and I clicked the shutter and she had just started to squat!!! LOL I didn't get the pretty stance!!! lol
Se is my girl!! She is working out so well so far. She is such a good girl!!
I have not been to everybody's blog to thank you for your comments,, but I am trying!! I am spending so much time with her out in the yard and then there is HOUSE-WORK!!!!!!!!!! Not that I clean-- Really, but I do cook and garden!!!!

Zoie had a play date

Yesterday Zoie and I had company.

When I gave Tinker back to the rescue group it broke my heart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wanted another dog and I knew it had to be a bigger dog so that the dog would not be able to dig out of the fence so easily!!! Of course I wanted another sight hound! I was in touch with a retired Greyhound rescue group but nothing was happening. One of the group knew about this Weimaraner that so badly needed a good home. I waited for 2 weeks for some one to show me me a dog or even just say hey we are very busy we haven't forgot you. But no one did. So I said we would see the Weimaraner. The rest is history!!

Remember I told you all that I developed a thyroid problem about 18 years ago. This lazy thyroid causes hair loss though out the body. I told you that my hair has finally turned gray and that I am going to be 76 years old next month!!! Well you all have seen pictures of me when I was younger not of me now!! I see pictures of myself and I think oh my God I look so old!!! Then I think WELL YOU ARE OLD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am going to show you me now!!!!!! I don't feel like I look!!! I feel like I use to look and Tom tells me he still see the girl I use to be not the now me!!!
Yesterday we had a play date with a new friend Elaine and her Greyhound Kristy!!

They came about 1 Pm and left after 3 pm. Here are the pictures!! Loading pictures on Blogger are not what it use to be!!!
Kristy loved me so much and there was a little jealousy coming from both dogs!! But soon the dogs were enjoying each other and being together in there running around the yard !!! It all ended very well!!!

Day 6 for us now and she is acting like she is home!!! We are having company today!! A lady and her Greyhound are coming for a play date. Yay I got the picture to load only one!!! I did everything the same way as I did it then it loaded 2 of the same picture!!! So I guess it was just Google. ( I am very Dyslexic today!!! )
Zoie is the kind of dog I wanted!! She is right with me every step I take!!!! I go to the bathroom she gos with me. When we are outside she is always watching me and when she can't see me she comes looking for me!!! She doesn't want to go someplace that I am not~~~~~~ so far!!!! This is very good!!!

I have this new dog of the start of day 4 and she is taking up all my time and will for at least 2 or 3 weeks. She was in need of so much attention!!!! She is loving all the love I am giving her!!! I am walking and playing with her so much more then I would have been able to if it were not for Tinker!!!! Thank you Tinker. I wish I could have 2 dogs!!!! This is as good as it gets for now!!! The top pic I took yesterday and it is the only one that had all of her in. The bottom 2 Tom took last night in the dark.
She is a big big girl. She is so very sweet !!! She is as tall as I am!! Zoie is here b/c she needed a home so badly. She is probably too big for me but I am going to try very hard to make it work. She is still a puppy and I know it is going to be hard for me!!! I am going to give it my best shot!!!!!

No pictures yet!! I have to wait for Tom to come home tonight b/c the camera is not doing right!!!!!

Zoie is a BIG girl. A year old and not been spayed yet. She is a Weimaraner (if that is how you spell it) !!! So far she is a sweet girl but she doesn't listen to you well at all. I don't think she is use to people talking to her. She is doing her job~~ by getting me moving!! We have walked as far as I would have walked all day (without her around.) It is only almost 11 AM now.
This is a trail period for us!! Last night Happy didn't like her at all!!!!!!!
One thing she is not and that is a bittie face at least with me yet!!!
She will not be digging out at least I don't think!! She would have to dig a really big hole!!!!!
Maybe tomorrow pictures of her!!!!
I will not have the computer time for the next few days, giving my attention to her so I probably will not be commenting much. Please excuse me.>>>>>>>>>

Dog Visit tonight!!!

This evening a couple are bring a dog to meet me. It is good that it will be this evening b/c Tom will be here to meet her too!! It is not good b/c it will be dark and I will not have a lot of pictures to show you. But we will do our best .
This dog is about a year old. She is alone everyday all day 12 hours a day while her people work. She needs someone to stay with her not be alone all the time.
She is suppose to be about 44 lbs.
I'll tell you more tomorrow!!!

I also have had lots & lots of phone trouble since I got high speed so the people I called about getting a dog couldn't
call me back. So I still want a dog!!! Mayzie is doing this rescue a dog week and I so want one!!!! Funny!!!!
Anyway I am just now back in business!!! I have a phone and the internet high speed is working!!!!
I would love to do another post about dogs that need a home but I don't know if I am going to find the time!!

Mayzie Dog blog is giving away green papers to the rescue group they pick to have these green papers so I am trying to win some green papers for the rescue group that Tinker is from. Now you all know Tinker needs a home. She does need a home with at least one other hard playing dog b/c she loves to play hard!!!!
She does dig some in the yard and she did dig out of mine when she was here but I really don't think she would have if there had been another dog here for her to play with. She was lonely with out another dog to play with!!
She should be about 9 months old now and weight about 30 lbs. She was very loving and she was sweet to Happy. I would love to know she had a good home b/c I really wanted her to work out with me. She keep digging under the fence to find another dog to play with!!

Happy is so much better today!!!

Hi blogville friends!!! Happy is better today!! Tom took her to the vets last night after dark at 7:30 PM. Our vet is trying something new. An after hours vet-- 5 nights a week!!! He is a young guy fresh out of medical vets school. I was right about Happy. She had a fever and she has meds for the infection of the bladder, it is a liquid witch is easier to give her then pills. So far so good!!!!

That first pic Tom took and no matter how many times I turned it right side up when it printed it cam out side ways!!!! So that's the way you will see it!!

I am happy --- Happy feels better!!!!!!!!!

Happy is NOT feeling good today!!!

Yes poor Happy is not feeling good today, she is trying to pee and only a drop or two will come out!!
We are going to have to take her to the vets later today if he can work her in, that is.
She probably has an infection of the bletter -------- I can not spell it darn!!! My speller says it is wrong but all that it gives me is not right either. How do you spell Blatter ???? No not that -----Blater -----?????????
I brought in some really pretty tomatoes today from the garden!!! The garden would love some rain,
we haven't had any for too long !!!!!! We are 2 feet short on rain fall so far this year!!!! It was such a hot dry summer it was a challenge to garden!!

Hi Bloggville friends, Yesterday I was having blurry problems. Still a little today but a bit better. Oil of Oregano is what is so good for allergies, and that is what I am taking. My eyes a bit better today.
Above is our very old but very sweet Happy cat. Happy does not purr very loud.
I really miss that. Happy does not sit on your lap, I REALLY miss that. She does sit or lay close to you but not on you!! Happy is 19 to 21 years old and as old and set in her ways that she is, Tom (hubby) has decided she needed a change in her diet. So now she is eating some raw meat everyday. In the beginning she loved it but now 2 weeks later she is not loving it as much!! Cats!!!!!!!!

Happy cat has her sweet home again

Happy is so happy to have her house again and her yard. She was getting use to Tinker. But never trusted her like she did Bambi b/c Tinker moved so fast. Tinker never bite her like she did me.
This was Pretty Boy !!! If you can love a wild animal I loved this boy and believe it or not he really liked me too!! I could go out back and call him and he would come. He lived 8 years. A very long time for a wild animal -- coon. He had a bunch of wives and babies with his wives. I knew everyone of his wives and every one of his babies.

I really have high speed!!!!! I can't believe it people. I have waited and waited and finally it is here and what do I do with it, why of course I do a new post to tell all my friends.!! I am so happy!!! Bring on those videos !!!! I will be able to see post's that have lots and lots of pictures on them. B/c I haven't been able to even go to peoples blogs that have lots of just stuff on them b/c it wouldn't load the page.
Things are very different now so it will take me a while to figure things out. Please excuse me if things are not right, I am trying!!
The quilt top there in the picture I pieced in 09. It is going to be a baby quilt for my Granddaughter when someday she has a baby. I am having a hard time trying to sew now a days and if I have to I'll pay someone to quilt it for me so I will have a quilt for my G-daughter's baby.

Those were the days my friends!!!! That was Joker rescued end of September 84. Look at how he was looking at me. This was the finest dog anyone could ever want!!! The best dog anyone could ever want.
Joker loved all other animals all of them!!!! Even the wild ones!!!
Even the dog who bit him and he had to have 22 stitches!!! His heart was so full of love!!!! He was 5 and a half when he came to us and not well. Joker ended up having digestion trouble and thyroid problems and I had to cook for him. Oh yes he had kidney disease too!!! Joker lived with us until he was 12.6 years old before the kidney disease got him. It was a wonderful 7 years we had with him. We cried for him after her left for months.

The men were suppose to come yesterday to start getting my wires straighten out but didn't show or call. Still no high speed for a while I guess. In case I end up disappearing for a few days it will be b/c my phone lines are down!!

Hi friends, Did you know that I am DYSLEXIC ?????????????
I am!!!!!! Words have always been big trouble for me. When I was a child in school--- I was the dumb one. They didn't know why I couldn't learn!!! I wasn't trying they said when I WAS trying as hard as I could.
I never did well in school!! I quit school in the 9th grade so I only have a 8th grade education. Could you --- did you know???

The picture above is me with my sweet Amanda, a Whippet I rescued when she was 4 and a half years old. I made everything you see me wearing except the hat, I even made the necklace.

No high speed now until Thursday late.

The man came to hook up the high speed and he couldn't b/c the company had not turned on the HS for this location!!! The man does not work tomorrow so he will be back out Thursday night about 6 pm to hoop me up!!! So I wait for 2 more days!!!! I have waited for 2 and a half years, I guess I can wait another 2 days!!!!
If I don't get to you until Friday or Saturday you will know why.

High Speed

This morning on our walk. Happy does a lot of sitting when I am walking around our 2 and a half acres. But then again she is 19 to 21 years old....
She does walk a pretty good bit tho!!!

This afternoon at about 6:30 pm a man is coming to hook up high speed and an internet phone for me!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it!!!!
I don't know much about how it is going to be. I don't know if I will have it tonight or tomorrow????? But I am finally on my way to high speed!!!! I didn't think it would ever happen.
I am so happy!!!!!!!

Gone a week this afternoon at 4 PM

Tinker has been gone one week this afternoon at 4 pm. The rescue group says she is doing real good and having fun playing with the other puppies and dogs They have not found her a home yet tho!
Happy is so very happy she has gone. She didn't trust her and she didn't like how fast Tinker moved. Happy is a different cat now. She is back walking with me every morning like she use to do when Bambi was with us. Happy walked with us almost every morning that is when it was good weather. Happy didn't walk if it was raining or very cold or very hot but all the other times she was right with us - not for as long of a walk but part of our walk. Maybe that is why she has lived so long.

Tinker was on death row

So many of you have said that Tinker was not a good fit for us. That the rescue people should have done a better job matching us up. Well they didn't match us up at all. I was talking to Angela a girl in the rescue group and telling her about what I liked in dogs. Sight Hounds!!!!!! She said that one of her girls from the rescue was at a high kill kennel about 125 miles west of Tallahassee right then and there was this super cute dog there set to be put to sleep that afternoon. The girl told Angela she wished she could bring Tinker home with this other dog, she had gone there for, Tinker was so cute. I told Angela I would foster Tinker so it would save her life. The rescue group didn't know anything at all about Tinker except she was a female and cute. The girl that had picked up Tinker from the kennel said she thought she was a year or two old. They took Tinker to the vets when they got back in town and the vets gave her some shots and checked for heart worms (she had none). The vets said she had never come in season. Which meant she was not a year old!!! Tinker had been picked up by a dog catcher as a stray. That was all they knew about her. She was picked up on a Friday by the rescue and she stayed at the vets over the week-end and brought to me on a Monday afternoon. They didn't know anything really about her at all.
I didn't know anything about her!!! We learned!!!!

Mondays Memories----Tinker

Tinker has a Dr Jekyll//Mr. Hyde personality!!! At first she just bite me in her version of puppy, bitie face, play which is in itself bad enough. Then she started to first try to bite me when I was stopping her from doing a bad thing like digging under the fence to get out. Then she actually did bite me and draw blood doing it when trying to stop her from getting out of the fence. That was enough Tom was MAD to say the least!!!!!! Tom said that was enough she gos back to the rescue.
That would not have been enough for me if that was the only problem. There was another problem and that I thought more serious . She was getting out the last 3 weeks and being gone out there alone in the world!!!!
That was not something I could let her do!!! Much too dangerous. You,, out there had said tie her up out in the 2 and a half acres of fenced in land of trees and foliage. I wish I could have but that was not possible to do. I have lived in this fence 36 years with 7 dogs and she was the only one who dig out and left!!!!!! Other rescues had loved it so much here that you could leave the gate wide open and they would never leave!!!
Tinker really was not running away b/c she always came back within a hour. If that would have kept up sooner or later she would have found the road out there!!!!! There was no way I could keep her in the fence and that is why she had to go back to the rescue girls. She left Friday afternoon about 4:15 pm!!! It has broken my heart!!!!! I miss her so.

Tinker is a biter and a digger

Hi all, Yes Tinker is a biter and a digger and I don't know which she likes the best!!! Both seem to be very important to her!!!
She loves to bite sticks!!
She loves to dig holes. As you all suggested she now has two places in the yard she is allowed to dig. BUT --- she is digging other places when you are not looking!!!
She loves to bite me!!!!!!!! This morning on our walk she wanted to bite me!!!!!!!!!!!! I wouldn't let her so she bit herself--- she bit her tail and she bit her back leg!!! AGAIN & AGAIN!!!!!!

Tomatoes-- we are still getting some from the garden every once in a while. We have had so little this year I only put up one batch of tomatoes this hole season. It has been too hot and too dry this summer for the garden to do good!!!

Hi Blogville, let me be more clear!!! Tinker is digging out of the fenced in part of the yard that is 2 and a half acres of wooded land that is fenced in. There is really very little of the land that is not all trees!! We have no part of our 3 acres that gets full sun any time of the year. That makes it hard to garden on!!! Anyway she really isn't digging out to run away, she is just exploring and the fence gets in her way. That is way as soon as I call her she comes right back. I am afraid that one day she will meet something or someone that will in some way hurt her out there. Or she finds her way to the road that is a 6 lane highway.
I have had this fence for 36 years and have had lots of dogs and she is the only one who has ever dug out !!!!! The only one!!!!
If I have to have her on a lead all the time, if I can't let her go out to do her business when I am busy doing something else, I'll let her go back to the rescue!!!! It will kill me but we paid so much for this fence so that you could just let the dog out!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has worked for 36 years--- now we have a head strong digger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes we are back, our inter net server went down and was down for days!!!
Tom said I went into withdrawals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did miss you all !!!!

Tinker has been getting out of the fence!!! She has been digging out!!! Today while I was watering the garden she got out. I called and she came right back in the same hole she had dough to get out. Now this is the third time she has done it!! I am an old lady and can not be covering up holes she has dough !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have got to stop this some way!!!!
I don't leave her out by herself but I am doing other things in the yard while we are out. I would hate to have to tie her up but that seems like the way it will have to go!!!!!!
Glad to be back!!!

Hey Blogville Friends........... How are you today???

I am making soup again today. I make soup at least once a week!!! This week it was 2 times.....
It is lentils and sweet potatoes and lots of fresh herbs from the garden.
Of course there are other things in the soup too.
Like red onions, garlic and brown rice. We try to always eat healthy and my soups are always very healthy!!!

Hi there Blog Friends, This is Tinker with her soft collar on. Has any one out there had a soft collar before????????? I had requested it for her thinking she would do like Bambi and knock her head around on everything. Save your money people. She figured out right away how to move that collar out of her way to lick or scratch anything she wanted to in less then a day. She is not wearing it any more b/c she has never bothered her incision once!!! It doesn't seem to bother her at all .

She has not slowed down at all and she is doing wonderfully.
I had 22 comments with my last post and I want to THANK-YOU so much!!! When I come to your blog it takes me a long time to get your blog loaded b/c I am on dial up so I haven't gotten to some of you. Please now I am trying!!

Tinker is so so so happy to be home!!!!

Hi Blog Friends, Tinker is home!!!!!! She is so happy to be home!!! She has a beautiful incision!!!! She has been so active I surely hope she doesn't tear herself open!!! When she got out of the truck she started to run and you couldn't have caught her if your life depended on it!!! She was gone in a second!!! She is so so quick!!!! She slept well last night. This morning she is running again and I can't stop her!!! We got out the door and she broke away from me in a second again!!!!!
I wanted a small dog so I could control her~~~~~~~~ I can't control her at all. When she wants to get away from me she surely can!!!!! She is so quick!!!
She loves her home so much!!! That is so plain now~~~~~~~~~~~.
When she was sitting in the vets kennels she was thinking I have lost my home~~~~~~~ What did I do to lose my home?????? Now she is home and it is so apparent that she is so happy to be home!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are happy to have her home too!!!
The pictures are from just before she went to the vets. I haven't gotten any since she has been home. She hasn't been still enough. I 'll get some more soon!!

Tinker at Vets

This little girl is at the vets today and a good part of tomorrow!!! I am dog -less......... She is getting spayed and the vet want to keep her over night just for safety sake. I think all will go well, she's pretty healthy.
I took pictures yesterday of her but the battery in the camera is dead so I can't get them out of the camera until I get a new battery. Tom is suppose to get some today.

September 6 2011 Already

The pictures are not new I know but I haven't gotten any new ones of her.

We had Lee. We ended up with 4.4 inches of rain and lots and lots of limbs down and one tree down!!! The tree was not a healthy tree tho so really not surprised. It didn't hurt anything when it came down.
Today I think our rain is over. The sky is blue. It is cooler. 84 degrees right now!!!! Nice and cool for our walks this morning. Tinker has played hard this nice cool AM. She is happily napping now!!

Tom didn't work yesterday. He did a lot of resting . He surely needed that!! The yard will not get cleaned up for a while. Tinker loves all the limbs down. Things to chew on. Things to run with!!! So so so fun for her!! She loves all those limbs to play with!! She doesn't like a ball but she loves sticks !!!!

Blogger worked real good over the week end but so far this morning I haven't been able to go anywhere but email and my own blog and I have spent lots of time trying!! I' ll keep trying later!!

The last Day of August

I don't know about you guys but we here,, are so tired of 100 plus degrees days!!! Monday it got up to 107 here at the house. Everyday it has been over 100 degrees for so long now!!!!!

Tinker has been here one month and 2 days today!!! She has learned a lot but it hasn't been easy!! She is very hard headed!! HARD HEADED!!!!!
She is house broken!!!!! That wasn't hard for me to do!!!
She knows her name and comes when called !! That was harder!!
She doesn't chew anything in the house but her own toys!! Hard!!
She is trying to be sweet to the cat ----- Very hard but we are making lots of progress!!
She has stopped biting me when we are outside----b/c I am carrying a squirt bottle of water and she hates water!!!!! She really has been doing pretty good for only one month and her being so hard headed!!!
Tinker is very loving when she wants to be.
She gos and gets in her crate when she sees me getting ready for bed.
When I am on the computer she is in her chair right next to me!!
Tinker is very much my dog!!!
That is our progress for the month!!

Very Good Advice !!!!

Hi dear Blog friends, very good advice you all gave me!! I am going to try the NO thing holding my arms across my breast. She thinks they are nice chews!!! Then I'll go on to the can thing!!! When Bruce was a puppy I would put a ball in his mouth every time he got near me !!!! All his life when he saw me after being apart he would quick find a ball when he came to greet me!!! It was so cute!! Bambi was a puppy too but she was so smart all I had to do was tell her No one time and she never did it again!! . She was so special!!!
I am making egg plant and spinach soup today. It has tomatoes and kidney beans, onions, and all the good herbs we grow in it and some millet for filler oh and a couple of hot peppers too!!! It is going to be so good!!! The only thing we had to buy was the millet, kidney beans and the spinach. Our spinach left some time ago--- too too HOT!!!!!
It has been a awful hot and dry summer!!! I am so tired!!!!

Tinker has two sides to her!!! She can be the sweetest nicest girl you could ever meet --- like Bambi was!! Then there is this other Tinker--- the bad one!!!!! She is playing with me I know but I am not a dog!!! That is how she is playing with me---- like I am another dog and she is fierce with me. She is playing bitty face with me only she can't quite get to my face--- thank GOD!!!!!

I have to come up with a way to stop her b/c she thinks I am playing with her when I am trying to get her to stop !!!!

Morning dear friends, thought I would show you one days harvest, only one days too. I'll get that much again the next day. We dry and freeze our hot peppers. I cook the tomatoes and egg-plant for the freezer to just pull out and defrosted, heat and eat!! I am doing this everyday!!!! That is why with Tinker and the garden work I have done as much as an 75 year old can do!!! What do you think???!!!
Oh by the way freezing the hot peppers is a lot of time consuming work too. You have to wash and cut up before freezing..................

My dear blog friends. I just am working too much. I am so tired. When I come to your blog it takes me 30 minutes at least to load and comment and that is if there is no trouble with loading your comment frame or pictures. So in 1 hour I have gotten to 2 blogs. I wish I had more time for you guys b/c I care so much for all of you and there is nothing I love to do more then talk with you!!!! BUT Tinker is here and she takes up loads of my time. In the photo above Tom is training her to like getting in his lap and be handled especially her feet.

Then there is cooking and cleaning and I hate to clean and do as little as possible!!!
It has been so HOT here !! Feel like tems have been over 110 for days and days and days!!!!!! My poor Tom works out in that feel like tem 12 hours a day 5 days a week. Thank God for the weeks end and AC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lots of Garden things to do

Hi Blog Friends, yesterday I spent almost all of the day trying to answer your comment, except for 7 walks with Tinker and some playing ball with her. I can't seem to get her real interested in the ball!!
I have about 11 more comments to answer and then how ever many for today!!!!! I may not make all the comments!!
Today I have about 12 hours of things to do for the garden and some cooking to do as well.
Tinker, I think is part Beagle, not Doxie!! She is probably 6 to 8 months old not a year or 2. Boy you can't trust anyone when they are trying to place a dog!!! I can see the reason for it, there desperation!!!!!
Please know if I haven't gotten to you I am really really trying!!!!

Our little family would like to wish you all a wonderful week-end. We are just staying home and trying to enjoy our selves as much as this heat will let us. We have been over 100 degrees with the feel like tems 110!!!!

Tinker is really doing very good. She is being a very good girl. She is eating good now and she is house broken. She hasn't made a mess in the house since last Tuesday!!! We don't have to be on leash when walking in the yard!!! She is doing real good!!

One Tired Old Lady

These 2 pictures where taken by Angela last Sunday of Tinker. Angela runs the Last Hope Rescue .
Tinker is so full of life. She loves to run and today I let her off leash and she ran and ran. Thank Goodness she stayed right around close. She has fallen in love with me big time. If I move she moves. She met the coons last night and they ran off fast. They paid no attention to Bambi at all.
Tinker was so fascinated with the coons!! Not mean at all. She is not destructive around the house at all. She is so puppy she is full of energy.
She has worn me out!!!!!!!!!!

Tinker -- Puppy

Tinker is a very immature one year old. She is not house broken!! She doesn't know how to walk on a leash!! She doesn't know her name. She is going to wear out this old lady. When she came it was raining. It rained for another 2 hours and then when we went out to walk it was so wet and buggy. We had had 4.3 inches of rain! I didn't get but about 2 hours of sleep last night.
Happy does not like her b/c she is so so puppy!! Happy doesn't trust her sharp quick movements. Happy is not happy!! Tinker has not acted anything but curious about her so far. We have a lot to teach and a lot of love to give.
I probably will not be on the putter much for a few days.

Bruce got as a 7 weeks old puppy March 76 days after I came home from having cancer surgery. Bruce was the puppy from my first hubby's dog Hank. Can you say you loved one more then another???? At the time they were in my live I would say I loved that one most. After they have been gone for a long time it is clear who is the one or two that stands out!!!

I have signed up to foster a dog !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I surely hope it doesn't hurt Happy!!!!!!!!!!!! She is really old and doesn't move around much any more!! She has missed Bambi so much. She stays glued to me all day long except when I go outside. When I am on the computer she is on a bench right beside me. When in the kitchen she is laying right in the way on the floor. When in the living room she is on the arm of my chair. She has never been a sit in your lap kinda girl.
She misses her friend.

I just found out that I will get a dog Monday night about 6 to 6:30 Pm. They are going to bring Tinker out for me to keep and see if she is a fit for our little family. She is a mutt and weights about 24 lbs. Of course you will have pictures Monday night or Tuesday morning. When time permits. Being a strange dog I will be hands on every minute. So you all will know how it is going as soon as possible cause I will be sharing all with you.

Yesterday I told Face-book that I was ready to get another rescue dog!!
They came through big time. Sally and a girl named Penny have been very helpful. I am now in touch with a girl right here in Tallahassee that has a mixed whippet and she said if she is too big she will find me a dog that is smaller. So that means we will not have to travel!!!!! That is so good b/c we have no ac in the truck. Our truck is a 93 with the old style ac so to fix it every ac part has to be changed over to the newer system.
That not having to travel is one problem handled. Thank the Lord!!!
My dear friends, I have to spend much time today cooking so I will not be able to get to your blog and comment. I want to talk to you guys so much but I have to much house work to do so I will see you all tomorrow.

Hi Blogville Friends, Monday is memories day and I will get into some memories but first I would like to say to Sweet William the Scot I tried to get to your blog yesterday and when you click on your profile page there is no web site or blog to go to so it is a dead end. Does anyone know Sweet William???? If you do please tell me how to get to him!! Please!!

I have told this story 2 times before but for the new friends of mine the story about the feeding of the coons and possums....... I moved to this half built house on 3 acres of wooded land 38 years ago this month!! This land was in a pretty wild state when I moved here. I paid cash for this land and half built house. Have never had a mortgage on this land!!
Word of advice do not move into a unfinished house b/c if you do it will never get finished. There was so much wild life living here!!!!!!!!!!! They were every where!!! Including in the house. I was afraid of them all too.
I had two young boys. Well not so young . We made do with what we had and we had raccoons and possums. I tried to shoe them away. I tried for years but in the end I realized they were a big part of what I bought. So I started to put some table scraps out back about 200 ft from the house.
In 75 I bought 2 and one half acres of chain link fence to inclose a lot of my land. Then there was a back fence and a gate to keep the wild animals out of the patio and land I THOUGHT !! No it didn't!! It did not ever slow them down. So I started buying 50 lbs of dog food and started to feed them out back of the fence. I have feed hundreds in the last 30 years.......
You get to know them and they get to know you. There is no possums or coon that will attack you unless they have rabies. In 38 years of living with them I have only seen 2 sick animals. One possum had rabies and when you see one you know it has rabies!! I shot that poor baby. One coon was sick with distemper . We took him to the vets!! He lived through is sickness and was so happy to be home and feeling good he was real friendly after that!! You could almost say he was a pet.
I do not touch one unless I have know them for years and then only to doctor a wound. I have doctored many over the years!!! They seem to know that I would not hurt them!!! In 38 years no one has ever tried to hurt me!! So I would say from my experience they are not as dangerous as people think.
I said I would get to memories but I think I have said enough for one day.

Yes we had a little rain over the week-end!!! Thank-you Lord !!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for your kind and helpful idea's about fixing the fence.
One--- you said take a picture of the creamed fence. Well--- that part of the yard has not been maintained in--- since the tree dropped one of it's BIG ARMS on the poor fence!!!! You can not see where that is b/c of all the growth of greenery. It would take days of cleaning up all the greenery to see where the fence was!! Well people,,,I am not up to cleaning all that stuff out!!! I am a 75 year,, old rolling down the hill to 76 lady. My age is one reason I want a smaller dog next time. I can't walk the amount of time a dog of Bambi's size needs when young!!
I would like two dogs so they could exercise each other. But we can not afford two!!!
Tom thinks HE CAN FIX the fence!!! Well truth be told he could if he had the time and energy!!!! that is a big IF!!! He works 12 to 13 hours a day at the shop!! Doing big heavy work on big trucks. He comes home so tired. He is not that young guy he use to be either!!! We are in a fix!!
I am thinking that when it is time I will just get a dog and bite the bullet and the dog will be on leash when it wants to go out and I will not be on the computer so much any more!!! I will miss you all so much!!!

A fence that is 35 years old!!

Hi Friends, thirty five years ago I had a chain-link 6ft fence put up around 2 and a half acres of our 3 acres. We live on a very busy highway.
That fence is still here. It has been through hurricanes, one tornado, and lots of abuses from the critters. It has stood through 4 dogs. One corner of the fence is completely down b/c a big oak limb fell on it about 6 years ago. Why didn't Bambi leave the fenced area you asked?? The gate could have been wide open and she would not go out of that gate!!! She knew were the fence would have been if it was still up, so she never crossed that line. She was a very smart girl!! Tom would say, you couldn't run her off with a stick!!! She knew where her home was and she stayed!!!
Now I am thinking of a new dog and I don't have a secure fence and don't have the money to fix all the places the need to be fixed!!!!!! I have had a couple of people out to give me an estimate. They want a lot to fix it!!!!
Even repairing just the one corner is more then we can afford!! I really want to be able to let a dog out with out having to take them out on leash.
I have such good dogs I know that in just a short time as long as I was out with them I could trust them.
Tell me what you think about this please.

Twenty Nine Years Today.

Twenty nine years ago Tom and I became a couple!!! I still love this man more then I did 29 years ago. He is so good to me!! He is way better to me then any other human has ever been to me!!!!!!!! And after 29 years together he is still way better to me!!

Tropical Moisture Suppose to be Coming

Hi Friends, tropical moisture is suppose to be here if you look at TV . We have had one tenth so far today. We had one tenth yesterday.

The garden is a little happier. I truly hope we do have some real rain from this little band of moisture. Above is our cayenne pepper. They are doing pretty good this year. They like it hot!! A good part of our garden in container gardening b/c of the critters.
We also have a large front garden that is in the ground and we have only lost some from the critters there. That is the garden that is hurting from the heat the most. That garden has egg plant that is doing OK. Sweet bell peppers that is not doing good at all b/c of the heat. Hot peppers that are struggling. Those are the Thai Hot peppers. They are trying but really not doing great.
The Strawberries have just been wonderful . They are sweet and bountiful. They have been giving since March. Since it has been so hot not like 30 or 40 a day but like 20 to 4 or 5 a day. We have been eating berries from the garden everyday since the 10th of March.
The tomatoes have tasted real good but they have not produced like the years 09 and 10 did. A lot fewer in number. A lot of them split when you pick them. those get eaten tho too!!
It has not been the good garden year people. Everything has suffered from the heat!! Well all most everything!!!

Tuesday memories

Hey blog- ville friends This was the beginning of our parsley. Now we have 4 pots of parsley. So we have enough. We put parsley in everything.
This is our third year for food gardening. Each year it has grown!!! This year it has not done as well as the other two years. Why you asked, b/c of the heat!!!!!! Like our sweet bell peppers. The sweet bells will not set fruit if the temperature is over 95 degrees. All of May and June we have had a very few days under 95 degrees!!!!! So we have had very few bell peppers.
Some of our Day-lilies. They too have suffered from the heat.
Sweet Bambi. When I first got her we always went to a park to walk b/c they were building a 6 lane road in front of our house. It has been done 12 years now and the road has saved a lot of lives. Before the road was done someone died every few months now never any deaths on the new road.
When the road was done we walked right around our house. Out in front of and up and down the street and even some in the back of our house. She loved her walks!!
One of my beautiful roses that I tended to daily!!! 365 days a year.

Happy Forth of July

I hope you have one of the best 4th ever. We are suppose to have 100 degrees or higher for the three day week-end. No rain. Most all are happy with that forecast around here.
On Thursday I went to a foot Doc and had most of the nail cut off my two big toes. So I will not be doing a lot of walking. I hope to see you on Sunday or Monday.

Rain on Wednesday

Good morning friends. It is raining for a change. For the last three months we have had only 1.6 inches of rain!!! Before yesterday we were 18 inches short of normal rain fall. It rained yesterday and it is raining today at least for now!!!
The first week-end Bambi spent with me it rained all week-end long!!! It never stopped. She was a puppy, well 5 months old and she wanted to be out side and she wanted to play too!! So we were outside and we played in the rain!!! She loved it. I and she were wet the whole week-end long!!!! We walked and walked!!! She never did like to play ball. I think that is the sight hound in her. My other sight hounds didn't like to play ball either.
They loved their stuffies and loved to chew on bones and play tug of war but no ball.

My Babies for the last 30 years!!! All now at the Rainbow Bridge waiting for their mommy. All out there in our pet cemetery with a few cats.

We had high hopes for a garden this year and some things have been wonderful, but not everything!!!! It has been too HOT HOT HOT!!!!
It has been to dry. Although the last 3 days it has rained a little. One day we got a tenth, the next 2 tenth and yesterday 5 tenths. It is heading in the right direction.

Hi Friends in Blogville, Today's post is all about you!! You my friends!!
When I lost Bambi 3 weeks ago tomorrow you were all there for me. Saying the words that I needed to hear. You were so sympathetic and kind with those Oh so important words. You all have helped me more than I can express. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.
I miss her and I talk to her all day long!!! She will always live in my heart forever.
I received 106 comments from you who came to visit and tell me how sorry you were that she had died. It was such a shock to me b/c she had not been sick until she was so sick so fast. It was all over in 2 days!! She died with her head in my lap, me sitting on the floor with her talking to her with my hand on her chest feeling her heart!!! I felt it stop, it just stopped!!! I was in shock!!!!
Anyway people and dogs and cats thank you so much!!!
I don't know what I would do without you all!!!
I would be a very lonely old woman with out you guys!!! Thank you!!!

Tomorrow is the first day of summer!!

Morning Blogville Friends. Having trouble loading pictures today. I will try again. These are not my first choice but I'll take what I can get.
The picture of me wearing my Love vest (that is what I named it) that I put on my lost post I thought I would show the front here. The vest got some interest.
Then sweet Bambi in her chair. Bambi loved her chair and that is where she was in the day time until she got where she wouldn't get in her chair any more. Some people said get her a stool so she could get in and out of her chair. I did that. But she never got in her chair again. I think it hurt her to move her body the way she had to to get in or sleep in the chair so we got her some joint pills hoping that would make her more comfortable. The pills did help her a lot but she she still never got back in her chair so Tom took it to the shop for people to wait in.
The picture above that is our one and only pet now who is also very old. She is 18 to 20 years old and she takes Joint pills meant for a cat too!!
Summer starts tomorrow and we have had the HOTTEST spring on record and one of the dries.

Hummers and Memories

Hi dear Friends,
Above a Baltimore Album quilt I saw and took a photo of in the big quilt show in Paducah Ky back in 99.
When I lost Amanda I made this vest in her memory. I wish I could make something for Bambi. We are talking tree in Bambi's memory . Maybe a pink dog wood tree.?
We use to have 8 to 10 hummers every year. Then 04 happened and we had one hurricane scare after the other all hurricane season. The hummers left that season and didn't come back for two years. Then when they did come back they came in fewer numbers. This year we only have two and neither is male.
Bambi Bambi Bambi why did you leave me????????????? When we first started our life together she had been adopted out 3 times before me. People had her spayed in fact she still had her stitches in her when I got her. People had bought her a crate and some toys and all that came with her when she came home with me that day. People kept bring her back to the shelter and I have no idea why. She was the sweetest puppy you ever would meet. She wanted to please so much. Probably about 2 weeks into our life together we were coming home from an outing and I stopped out at the mail box. I use to drive a Ford extended cab truck. I opened the door to get out and she came out and I caught her in midair!!!!! I shoved her back in the truck and said NO NO and she never again got out of the truck until told to, including she last trip to the vets 2 weeks and a day ago. One time was all it took!!! she was so smart!!

It is HOT HOT HOT

Friends we are still eating strawberries from the garden everyday!!! They just keep giving and giving. We have had to share with the coons and who ever else is robbing the garden every night. But we still have had plenty for us and I'll tell you we never get tired of them!!
It has been so hot the coons can't sleep through the day so they are up and about. It has been 98 or above for over 2 weeks and no rain. We are 15 and a half short of rain fall so far this year.
We have been having a low temperature of 82 to 85 at night.
This is just one pot of our purple basil. We have three. This stuff is sososo good if you like basil and you have a chance try some for sure try some!!!!!
After Bambi got well from kennel cough we started our longer walks. She loved our walks and she got a lot of them. In the beginning we would go to parks. She was so happy!!
I work in the gardens 2 to 3 hours every day and it is so hot I am dripping wet when I come in from the garden and it not from water from sweat !!!

Memories on Tuesday

Good Morning Blogville Friends, The pic above is when I first got Bambi way back in the first of March 98. I didn't have a camera in our early days so I have very few pictures of her. The few I do have were taken with Tom's camera. When I first got her she was on deaths door with kennel cough. She went to the vets on the way home from the local shelter were she had spent most of her life up to that point. We hit the vets office at just the right time and he took us right in. The vet was over joyed that I had another dog!! He really liked Bambi from the very start. He told Bambi that she had hit the lotto!!! He told her she could not find a better home. He gave her a shot and we had pills that I was to give her 3 times a day. Bambi had been coughing a lot on the way to the vets office. With in 24 hours she was noticeable better. It was up hill from there and with in days she was playing like the puppy she was.
This was taken last year about March 2010.
Clematis,, this year!!

I am going to blog about her, celebrate our life together. She was just the best, most wonderful dog you could ever meet. I wish you all could have met her!!

Trouble loading the comment frame

Tom and I when we were young!!
Last night I couldn't get 4 comment frames up. This morning I haven't been able to get 5 frames up!!! It takes soso much time to go to your blog and I want to go & read your blog, but then I want to comment and the frame will not come up and I have spend an hour on it and you don't know I tried to visit with you!!! Darn!!!!
Today is Tom's day!!! His birthday!! So I am going to spend all my time with him. I asked him last night if he wanted to go out and he said no!!!!
He said he had a special dinner planned for tonight with candles!!! Oh Boy!!! His birthday and I get a special dinner!!!

The pic of Bambi and Tom was done one Sunday morning. B/c this is what he did every Sunday AM. He filed her nails. Before he did he would hold her and love on her a while so the nail thing wasn't so bad!!

Hello Blog Friends, Hope you have a good week-end!! Tom is going to have a birthday tomorrow!! The picture above is when we use to go out to dinner every Saturday. Usually it was Mexican, but that made us fat and old and now we never go out to eat unless my son David and his wife come to visit. Tom wants to control what we put in our body. Be leaner and healthy is what he wants now. That happens when you start getting older.
LOL
Bambi having fun rolling in the sun and dirt !!! She did love to roll in the sun!! She was a wonderful dog. She never did anything wrong ever!!! If she did start to do something wrong I would catcher her and tell her NO and she never started or did that thing again. One time was all it took!! She was so smart!!!!!!!

Mondays Memories

Tom and Joker rescued when he was 5 and a half years old.
Amanda rescued when she was 4.7 years old.
Bambi rescued when she was 5 months old with kennel cough and almost died poor baby!!
Bruce gotten from the ex's dog Hank. Bruce was brought home to me when I had just come home from a full hysterectomy b/c I had stage 4 cancer. He was 7 weeks old. I know how to take care of a puppy and he was so smart. I had him house trained in two days!! We were never apart. That is the key to a wonderful dog.

I want to thank everyone for their kind, loving words to me when I so need them!!! I am in shock that I lost my sweet Bambi so fast but I am glad she died with me with her in her own home. The last hour and a half she had a very fast heart beat and then it just stopped!!! Just that simple, her heart stopped!! During the last couple of years I was hoping I wouldn't have to put her to sleep. I hate to do that, even when, you are doing it out of deep love for your fur-baby. I didn't have to!!!
I would love to get to you all and say thank-you so much for your wonderful words of wisdom but on dial up it would take me months.

She has been gone now 30 hours

Thirty hours and counting!
In 2008 when she started getting lumps we took her to the vets of course.
The vet did a MIR of her that cost 650.00$. All her lumps except one was on the outside of her body cavity. She had one pretty close to her heart. The vet did surgery and removed 5 lumps that were on the outside of her body cavity.
Three came right back with in a month.

Bambi was fine Over the Memorial Day week-end. Tuesday evening she turned her fist meal down ever. I knew something was wrong. Wednesday morning I called the vets and they could not see her b/c they were booked solid. The earliest he could see was Thursday 5:15 PM.
We walked Thursday morning as usual. But I knew she was in bad shape.
I cried!! She was trying to cough up fluid. We had a ruff day.
When Tom took her to the vets Thursday the vets was sure it was the lump by her heart that had grown and causing the fluid. He wanted to do another MIR for 700 hundred dollars. We don't have that kind of money.
Tom made the appointment for surgery for Friday 7 AM. The vet was going to go in and remove the lump next to her heart.
I stayed up with Bambi all night holding her, cleaning up the fluid coming out of her mouth.
It was her time to go! She died of Congestive Heart failure at about 5:30 A.M. June 3th Friday. I don't believe that the lump hear her heart had anything to do with her death. I really don't......

I am in shock!!! I am devastated!!! I am in morning!!!!
When I lose a fur-baby I can not go right out and get another dog. I don't know why. I have to have time to grieve, I just have to.
I am so very sad, so lost.

Bambi's update

Bambi is going to have surgery tomorrow for a lymphoma that is pressing on her heart!!!! She is having a hard time. She has had a seizer like episode this everning. It only lasted about 30 seconds but it scared us both.
This surgery is major and I am scared to death!!
She could not make it!!!!!!!!!!!! We need all the prayers vibes and good thoughts we can get. I wish it had just been the heat.
She will not be home maybe not tomorrow but maybe if she does well.........
I will let you know. If we lose her it is going to be so hard on us all isn't it??

Bambi's Sick-----

It is Hot!! Yesterday it got to 103 degrees!!! This was the front garden in the heat!!!
This is Bambi in the heat!! Yesterday she turned down food and acted like she was not feeling well. I called the vets and they couldn't take her. So we had to settle for today at 5:15 PM. Today she is throwing up!!! Bambi is sick!! Is this what I dread so so so much!!!!!!!! The beginning of the end???? Oh Lord !!!!
